60m2 Studio situated in the heart of the Palma Mallorca, in the historic centre. The studio has been restored tastily, thereby mixing the old Mallorquin architecture with modern style. The loft has a big living room, with a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen and a dinning room, a big bedroom with a window which overviews a garden, the bathroom is modern style with a marble bathtub. It has a comfortable double bed. The living room has two futons that can be made into a bed. The apartment is ideal for two, but it can hold up to 4 people. The apartment is light and airy. It is a charming apartment which is near an old romantic church with a plaza next to it. Access from the street to the second floor studio is via 36 stone steps, this is typical of Casco Antigo (old town) properties, but may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm. The neighbourhood is famous as it is the eldest neighbourhood in Palma. Recently, some houses have been restored in a Mallorquin way and thus this has added beauty to this part of Palma, which has gained a special identity of its own. It is less than 5 minutes walking distance of Palma’s shopping and administrative centre. All tourist attractions are in easy reach – the cathedral is only 5 minutes walk from the apartment as is the parliament and house of government. The lovely sandy Playa de Palma beach is only a 7 minute walk from the apartment. This makes the apartment the perfect place for a combined city break and beach holiday. The restaurants and bars are also within easy reach. A public covered swimming pool is just by the apartment.

Description of the area: Local flea markets are held in the plaza next to the apartment were you can find fresh typical Mallorquin food, such as fish or vegetables brought directly from the sea and farmland. There is a bakery and shop, as well as a little every day shop in the street was the apartment is found. However big supermarkets and commercial centres are close to the apartment.

Studio Apartment in Centre of Palma

The location of this property is ideal for not only exploring Palma but is also very convenient for access to Majorca's excellent public transport (buses) should you wish to explore the Island. It is situated in the lovely historic area of Palma and within walking distance of the magnificent Cathedral. There are a few very nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity and a little coffee shop a few doors away which is very cheap. It is only a short stroll to a number of little squares (turn right from the apartment) where there are a variety of beautiful old churches, restaurants and little bars. The area is particularly beautiful at night! The apartment is nicely maintained, very clean and comfortable. It is open-plan, bright and airy and contains everything you need for a self catering holiday. Both the kitchen and bathroom are very modern and well designed. Overall the apartment is a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were welcomed in person by the owner, Antonia, who was very hospitable and spent some time giving us useful information about the surrounding area and places of interest. She clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay and provided us with her telephone number if we needed to contact her for anything at all. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely studio apartment and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the best of Palma and the island. We will definitely be returning again. (August 2008)

One of the best holidays I've ever had. A beautyful apartment!!! Well situated, we didnt need a car at all and even though it was in the middle of Palma, it wasnt't that noisy at night.
