Little apartment in the Northern Mallorca seaside, with community private swimming-pool, available for a maximum of 4 people, located in a quite residential zone in Puerto Pollença. Washing machine, satellite TV, radio, terrace, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, iron & board, toaster, coffee maker, food processor, juicer, ... available. 24/7 availability of owners for any suggetion you may make while staying in the appartment (we're located only 10 minutes far from it). Any preview request can of course also be considered.

Beware of Building site

June 2008 we have just returned from this apartment, very comfortable and would have been our ideal holiday destination except we were not informed that there is a building site on the next plot which was very very close and very very noisy. check that it is finished before you book!
Owner's Response: Hello everyone, this is Jaume, the owner of the appartment. In response to the problems caused by the construction site besides our property I'd only like to say they're completely solved. First, there's a local law that says that they cannot be noisy of dusty during july and august, bc of tourism, and second, they told us they are ending their work in 2-3 months, approximately in april. We feel very sorry about those renters who came and had problems, they were completely unexpected because we had been going there to control the noise and dust, but in the end we couldn't avoid it. However, this is past, no more problems will happen with this construction site ever. Thanks again for your time and we feel very sorry for those renters I named before.

Great apartment for 2 people

The apartment is just as described. Nice, quiet residential area. Some development under way and more to be done around, but none of this was any problem at all.
Inside was lovely, but no bigger than it needed to be. This was fine for the two of us, but it would feel cramped with more. The balcony and pool were great.
It was maybe further from the town than I would have chosen, but the walk in and back were good exercise! We didn't use the bus, but that looked fine as an alternative.
The local shop is fine, but you certainly do pay extra for the convenience! Local restaurant (there are 3, but we only tried one) was OK, but there's much better eating in the town, or other places around.
Our only problem was comunication with the owner. Granted we booked late, but didn't finally get confirmation until the morning we left! All a bit nerve-racking. He never answers his phone either! His father was our local contact, but he speaks no English - OK if there's no problem, but useless if there is.
Overall, however, we had a great holiday, and I'd have no reservations about going back. I'd just book sooner!

Our perfect location

We have just recently returned from Mallorca. The location was perfect as was the appartment. Lovely quiet residental location but still only 5 minutes walk to beach. Nice 20 min walk to resort centre but there is a bus at the end of the road if you dont fancy the walk. We had 2 young children with us who loved the pool which was very well maintained. Appartment has excellent facilities and suits a family of 4 if your children are young enough to sleep on the sofa-bed. We didn't bother with a car as the bus was so frequent and inexpensive. Local spar is a rip-off so definitely worthwhile going into the big Eroski in the resort centre for your shopping. There is a great variety of restraunts and shops in the resort centre. The owner of the appartment was so friendly and easy to communicate with. We would definitely return to this appartment in the future.

Summer hols

Value for money 10/10

Location 7/10 - a healthy 15-20 minute walk from the centre but very quiet location and very near the beach.
There is a Spar supermarket about a 5 minute walk away on the beach road which was well stocked at all times.

If you have any kind of movement restrictions then the apartment is up one flight of steps but should be manageable. However a taxi or a car would be needed to go into the main town area but there are a couple of restaurants a short walk away

Surrounds - 7/10. As the previous reviewer had mentioned there is building work going on next door (six days a week) but this did not bother us that much but you do overlook it from one side of the pool. However breakfast on the balcony overlooking the pool was still possible but the builders do start at 9.30am.

Apartment 7/10 - We are a family of four but the children
are under 12 and we would need more space in a few years time but it was sufficient for our needs. I did find the Sofa bed more comfortable than the beds in the bedroom and the UK TV channels was a bonus especially with the Olympics on. Some of the utensils need updating but we ate out every night so that was not a problem.

The walls are paper thin like most homes and this could have been a problem if there were noisy guests about but these are private flats and it was fine most of the time.

Both my wife and I could not get on with the water in the apartment, even when it was boiled (we like our coffee & tea). Again this was easily sorted by buying the 5 litre bottled water.

The children enjoyed the pool and this was a big plus point.

The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating which made be feel at ease when booking and leaving the property as my Spanish is non-existent but his English is very good.

Overall we had a very relaxing time in this lovely resort and even a severe tummy bug (my eldest) at the end of the holiday could not detract from a pleasant experience.
