Our family (including two young children 3 and 5) have just returned from a week in Puerto Pollensa and found this apartment really suited us, especially as we had decided to save some money by not hiring a car. Susanne was very helpful and friendly, and really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The property was clean and spacious, and well furnished and matched the description. Helpful hints for anyone with young children - all the windows have blackout shutters, so we even manged to get a few lie-ins! The two twin rooms are at the back of the apartment, the double room at the front (some noise from the street, but didn't disturb us). The spiral staircase to the roof terrace was fine for us, though might need blocking off if you have toddlers. The roof terrace itself has great views and was brilliant for drying clothes/swimsuits etc and sitting out/sunbathing, if you can take the heat!
Location was ideal - literally 5 mins from the beaches and pedestrianised sea front, and 5 mins from the main sqaure where the market takes place on Weds. There was a little playground with climbing frame and some shade around the corner (turn left at the first junction on the way to the beach and it's on the next block on the right). We spent most of our time swimming - the beach is ideal for kids as it's so shallow for a long way, though there are a few hidden rocks in the sand so we all ended up with a couple of scrapes on our feet/legs!
Great food at Little Italy, on the beach front, but you need to book! Just behind there is Coral (I think) restaurant which was our fave, very friendly and some lovely Majorcan dishes.
There are about three or four supermercats within a block or two of the apartment, open late mostly (the one near the playground seemed to be the biggest).
We used a prebooked coach transfer (Majorca Airport Transfers Shuttlebus) from the airport which dropped us about two blocks (3 mins walk) from the apartment, at the back of the Sis Pins Hotel. It cost €22 per return ticket, and took about an hour (we were lucky to be first dropped off and last picked up though - journey time varies according to number of stops).
Would definitely recomend this apartment and location! Hope that helps!
