Delightful, tastefully furnished, spacious self catering apartment with huge terrace on two sides with bougainvillea, hibiscus etc. Ideal for families and romantic. Sit there with the lovely view, sipping drinks, watching water skiers and little boats as the sun sinks out to sea and lights twinkle across the bay. Lovely pool and gardens and steps into the sea. Peaceful but very close to shops, restaurants, bars, beach and British run Internet cafe and near championship golf courses and yacht marina. Decorated mainly in off-white, the large sitting room, with huge picture windows onto the front terrace and the sea, has unique built in lacquered wall cabinets, table and desk and taupe coloured sofa and chairs with orange cushions and Sky TV. New kitchen. The master (double) bedroom with e/s bathroom, opens onto the front terrace, 2 more bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) open onto the side terrace. Bedroom 4 is small but has 2 full length bunks. 2 bathrooms, shower room, cloakroom.

Florymar is ideally located, facing south across beautiful Santa Ponsa Bay to the cross where Jaime I of Spain landed in 1229 to convert the island from the moors. Set in front a planted sculptured cliff, shielded from the sound of the road, Florymar is quiet, yet just across from the entrance on the 6th floor are a grocery store, bakery and Internet Cafe. As well as a little beach next door, the huge sandy beach flanked with pine trees, is a short stroll away past shops, bars and restaurants. In the other direction are a handy supermarket, children's playground and a square with evening entertainme in the summer. The south west of Mallorca is very beautiful. Palma, a delight to visit, is only 15 minutes' drive away. Pretty Puerto Andraitx and the upmarket Puerto Portals are close; weekly markets in nearby Calvia and Andraitx should satisfy shopaholics, while attractions such as the dolphin show and aquapark are also not far.

  • In addition there is a £9.00 per person per week charge for laundry. (It seemed unfair to charge 2 people the same as 8 if it were added to the main charge).
    A deposit of one third of the basic charge is payable on booking, with the remainder to be paid 4 weeks before departure. A deposit of breakages of £250 is also payable at this time.

Notes: 2 sun loungers are under little thatched umbrellas, near the swimming pool and sea, to shield residents from the hot sun. Roll up mats are available to take to the beach. There is a wealth of information about things to do and places to go in files in the apartment. There are about 4 steps down from the car park but there is a hand rail. Bed linen and bath towels, changed weekly, are provided at a small extra charge, but not beach towels. You enter the apartments on the 6th floor and shops, cafes and the Internet cafe are just over the road. There is a lift to take you to the 2nd floor. The sculptured cliff behind the apartments means that, although everything is readily available just over the road at the 6th floor level, the flat is shielded from the noise of the road and is usually very peaceful.

we had a fantastic week in Santa Ponsa. The apartment was lovely. Loads of balcony to sit and watch the fabulous views over the bay. there were 5 in our party but you could easily have 8 people with out being on top of each other. the location ment only an easy stroll down to shops, bars etc. The bus to Palma was in easy walking distance as well. the owner provided a very full guide to both the apartment and area. we would all be more than happy to go back again.

Excellent location for all local amenities, clean and tidy apartment with terrific views, sit out on the balcony at night and enjoy a glass of wine, great for families with kids of all ages
Good pool and well maintained apartment block.
Will definitely use again if available next time we are back great value for money.

Fantastic Florymar

This is the 3rd year that we will be venturing back to this lovely flat. I often ponder on going elsewhere but it keeps drawing me back. The first time we walked into the flat and opened the shutters we felt like we were in another world. The views are indeed spectacular and the space within the apartment would suit any family but it's great for 2 people to rattle around in. The apartment is very comfortably furnished, the bed in the main bedroom is a large double and very comfortable so you get really good nights sleep. There is a well equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking. There are also good quality loungers on the terrace with lovely thick pads so you can laze around to your hearts content. I was recuperating from an operation the first time we visited and it was just what I needed, time to relax and chill out.



Santa Ponsa can be quite noisy, but as the entrance to this building is on the 6th floor and you go down to the flat on the 1st floor this means that you get soundproofing from the road noise. The flat is light and airy and is always very clean when we arrive. The owner is most helpful and has provided detailed instructions and notes on places to go including restaurants. This was used as a family home in the past and the furnishings and the comfort really do reflect this. All restaurants are within easy walking distance and the buses to Palma and the outlying districts are a short walk away. Palma is a lovely city and the location of this flat allows you to visit and do most of the sights within the day. You can also catch local boat trips virtually in front of the apartment so it’s pleasant to see them come in to pick up the holiday makers each day.

Fabulous Floryville

2008 was the third year we visited the apartment. It is in a fabulous spot and has all the facilities one would need. The view from the terrace is glorious. We visit in November but there are still plenty of amenities open and so far the weather has been very kind to us - so much so that we have been swimming in the sea and the pool.
The property is always clean and welcoming for us with linen and towels. There are nearby shops with a good selection of food and an excellent baker two minutes away.
Dealing with the owner is always a pleasure - she is very helpful and arrangements have always gone smoothly. There is plenty of information available about the apartment and the surrounding area. There are good restaurants for lunch and/or dinner charging reasonable rates nearby.
We have hired a car the last two years to explore the island but the buses are reliable and fairly regular even if the last one from Palma is quite early. Taxis are easily avialable and not too expensive.
