The property is an enchanting restored stone cottage, over 100 years old, situated at the entrance to the village. The house has an original stone facade awash with flowering bougainvillea, bottle green shutters and a portion of terraced land that serves as a rustic garden. The path infront of the house leads onto the living and dinning rooms, all rooms have restored wooden beamed ceilings. The living room is furnished with colonial character rugs, tapestry's, sofa and armchair, plenty of books. Dinning room seats upto 6, is invitingly rustic with fireplace and original stone washer. The kitchen is fully equiped (washing machine, fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave, cutlery crockery and cookware). First floor one double, 1 twin rooms, all with mosquito nets. Second floor one double room and a second living room and 2 bathrooms. On 6 Dec just installed brand new heating system in house. Also brand new double thickness Nordic quilts, bed linen. Wood fire in the store.Cosy &warm.

The idyllic village of Estellencs lies on the skirts of the impressive Tramuntana mountain range, west Mallorca. The village & its surrounds are completely unspoilt by over development & tourism. The views from the house & all around the village are quite breathtaking; terraced sun-swept land, wild mountainous forestland & winding village paths leading to a pebbly beach. The shimmering Mediterranean wraps the village in some spectacular views. There are 3 good restaurants, try to catch the sunset over the sea from the Vallehermoso café, also 2 small shops and a pharmacy. The village is composed of typical Mallorcan stone facades in flower, shuttered windows and largely pedestrian - a Tuscany in the hills. A few details make the house quite special; the water that winds down from the mountains into the brook is heard in every corner of the house, the torch lit garden at dusk is truly romantic, a place for both romantics and family alike.

  • The above prices are for a max occupancy of 4 people, there will be an extra charge of 50 euros for 5 or 6 people, there will be an extra charge of 100 euros for 7 or 8 people. THERE IS A 50 EURO DISCOUNT FOR THE SECOND AND MORE WEEKS. A deposit is required for first time guests. The prices include house cleaning and washing of household linen before/after each group of guests. A cleaning lady is available at a cost of 8 euros/hour, subject to availability.

Things to bear in mind:: The garden is not attached to the house, it is in front, separated by a small foot path, used by the occupants of the house and those of the building next door only, it is not a public path. The garden/terrace is of course private to the house as seen on the photos and is lovely for al fresco dining or just lounging and absorbing the Mediterranean sunshine.

Latest improvements to the house: On 6 Dec just installed brand new heating system in house. Also brand new double thickness Nordic quilts, bed linen. There is wood for the fireplace in the store. The house is now cosy, warm, inviting for the winter season.

Other Activities: Trekking, Golf is available at Bendinat (30 ins). and sailing at Puerto de Andrax

Dieses Haus ist sicher nichts für hochanspruchsvolle Reisende. Aber für Kletterurlauber wie uns - mit Kindern und Sack und Pack - genau richtig! Günstig, einfach, wunderschön.
Fußweg zum Strand 1,5 km- man kann aber gut runterfahren. Parkplätze en masse. Kleiner Dorfladen um die Ecke und Bibliothek mit Internet-Möglichkeit gegenüber.
Im Haus fehlt lediglich mal ein Schrank für die Klamotten - uns hat das aber nicht gestört. Alles ist leicht ältlich und abgegriffen - hat aber die gewisse patina, die dieses Haus so liebenswert macht, Es ist im indischen Stil eingerichtet.
Vor dem Haus fließt ein sehr lauter Gebirgsbach, der durch geschlossene Fenster/ Läden gut wegzudenken ist. Außerdem gewöhnt man sich schnell an dieses Hintergrundgeräusch.
Wir waren Mitte Mai hier und es gab wirklich wenig Verkehr (das Haus liegt nahe der Haupstraße). Wie das im Sommer ist, weiß ich nicht.

Wir empfehlen dieses Haus für alle Normalgebliebenen, Familien und Jugendgruppen, die eine schlichte Unterkunft schätzen. (Allerdings ist Lautstärke des abends nicht gewünscht!)

Wir waren schlichtweg begeistert - alle Kletterspots in der Nähe und wundervolle Buchten.
