Only a 5 minute stroll to the sandy beach of Camp de Mar. The beach is in a cove, very child friendly, with shops and restaurants close to the beach. The beach has a restaurant on an island with pedalo hire and a lifeguard in the summer months. The picturesque port of Puerto Andratx is only a 10 minute drive away, which has designer shops, bars and restaurants to suite all tastes. The popular resort of Peguera is less than 5 minutes away by car. Peguera has 2 large sandy beaches and more shops and restaurants. The capital city of Palma is 20 minutes drive away and is a great place to shop, eat, go nightclubbing or tour the old city and Cathedral.

The downstairs bedroom also has its own bathroom, and has French doors accessing the ground floor terrace. All three bedrooms have air conditioning and underfloor heating for all year round comfort. Bed linen is changed on a weekly basis.

Transport

Car hire is recommended and easy. Cars can be picked up and dropped off at Palma airport, Avis and Hertz keep vehicles at the airport. Taxis are readily avialable in Camp de Mar and are not expensive, the cost to Peguara is only 5 euros, 25 euros to Palma and 40 euros to the airport. There is a regular bus service along the coast both ways to Palma and Puerto Andratx in the opposite direction.

Children

The development is ideal for children as it is gated and provides no means of escape. The terraces are walled and are also secure. The beach at Camp de Mar is only a 5 minute stroll away and is perfect for children and adults, very clear and calm water, swim float or snorkel in safety.

Entertainment

Although Camp de Mar is qiuet by resort standards, it does have bars and restaurants, Puerto Andratx, Peguera, Palma Nova, Peurto Portals etc can all be reached easliy and have a livlier night life with plenty of night clubs. The nearby Dorint Hotel has a top class spar for total relaxation.

Golf Information:

The Golf de Andratx club is next to the house. This is a championship course that provides a test for the lowest of handicap. The cost is 70 euros per round but a discount is availablr for La Perla residents. There are many other golf courses on Mallorca all within a short drive, Santa Ponca courses are nearby.
