Wish it had been luxury?

Holiday in August. A beautiful looking villa, but that's all that was beautiful about it! Jacuzzi, sauna (not connected), pool lights, outside lights - all not working on arrival and only jacuzzi and outdoor lights fixed when we had 3 days left of holiday. Patio doors not lockable as they were broken.
Not suitable for toddlers as stairs too dangerous - no stair gates. Master bedroom - shower walls were covered with black mould and showers towards the end of the day produced smells coming up from the drain which was very unpleasant.
Den bedroom area flooded with terrible smelly water and tiles missing in the middle of wetroom floor so this would have cut your feet even if you could have used it which we couldn't. We could not use this bedroom so children slept on mattresses in the living room and other nights shared our room.
Pool very deep and only the steps into the pool were suitable for young children, but soon as you are off the steps you are into at least 3' of water.
This had the potential of being a fabulous luxury villa, but owners just haven't sorted all the problems. I have waited to write this review in the hope that the owner would have had the courtesy to reply to my emails, but all we received was an email in August saying they'd investigate and get back to us. We have heard nothing since - no apology nothing and we are now 3 months down the line. Our deposit has not been returned either.
Owner's Response: I am very upset that Mrs Duffy had a bad experience. I know holidays are very important and I try very hard to keep the villa in top condition for guests. I employ a maintenance company who have cleaners and handymen on 24 hour call. All the problems detailed have been fixed. The sauna, outdoor lights, flood and drain smell were all linked to the same fault. The Jacuzzi, lights and flood were fixed the same day. The other issues were fixed at the end of the stay to minimise the disruption to the guests. I don’t know why the smell prevented the group from sleeping in the den bedroom for the rest of the stay neither we or our cleaners have noticed a problem. Perhaps they left the boiler room door open. I always advise guests to contact our maintenance company during their stay if they have things they would like dealt with as we are set up to respond quickly.
