The property is part of a group of houses at the top of the village and is reached by a steep path ( about 80 metres) . The area is totally pedestrianised and very quiet. The house, which is on three floors, has been carefully renovated to maintain its character. There is plenty of hot water and heating as well as an open fireplace in the sitting area. The living area is open which includes a large hall, sitting area and generous dining area . There is a well equipped kitchen off the hall. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Linen and towels are provided (please bring your beach towels). The property is comfortably furnished in a mixture of old and modern furniture. The top terrace, which is perfect for private sunbathing and to watch the sunset from, is reached from the second double bedroom. The garden terrace overlooks the countryside and has table chairs and a parasol. There is an excellent hourly bus service to Palma .Should you want something smaller look at property10855

Nearest Airport: Palma at 40 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Palma at 35 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 1000.0 Metres

Estellencs is approximately 50 minutes from Palma airport on the North side of the Tramuntana Mountains. The village has its own pebbly beach, which can be reached by foot (about 20 minutes) or is 10 minutes by car. The stone built village clusters around the little square and church and has seen relatively little development. The combination of the rugged mountain village terraced olive groves and views of the Mediterranean make it quite exceptional. There are good restaurants and a small shop. This picturesque village has been used by film companies looking for an unspoilt Medeterranean setting.The families living there mainly work their land and are involved in running the restaurants and two small hotels.Life proceeds at a gentle pace . Can Rosa has great old world charm with its irregular shaped rooms , old doors and beams. It has plenty of space for a family both for sleeping and for sitting both indoors and outside. Do note that some of the doorways are low so take care .

For season 2008:: The house has been very popular with our guests. At the moment the house is being totally redecorated to make fresh and crisp. We also intend to put in a video player ready for Summer 2008.

House with a character

We stayed in this house for a week in September and we had a great time. This property is a house with charme and character. Me being 1.95 m tall had to get used to some low beams and doors and banged my head a few times - but this goes with a house that age. Plenty of nice details make you feel at home and the location is really very quiet. Estellencs is a peaceful village well away from the buzz and noise of the main tourist spots. After sunset you can sit in one of the restaurants overlooking the main street and there are no cars and only some children playing. This is a totally different Mallorca as you might know it! There are plenty walks in this area and you can start right from your doorstep.
We plan to come bck next year.

Spacious property in Idyllic Mallorcan Village

We had previously stayed at the Casita another property from the same owner - which is also a fantastic property by the way.

So we were confident this would also be a great place to stay, we were not disappointed. The property is on multiple levels and sleeps 6 people with room to spare. One of the rooms is en-suite with a bath, there is a separate bathroom downstairs. Its a very spacious property for six.

The property was very clean and well equipped its up a few steps just like the casita so you need to be able to climb up to it, parking is often in the car park 100m or so down the road too but this always seemed secure enough to us.

Estellencs is a great village away from the tourist crowds but still with a very good restaurant, a couple of bars and a pizza joint too. The location is great for hiking and climbing which is what we like to do, there is hiking straight from the door and the nearest climbing is only 15 minutes away. There is also a small beach about 30 minutes walk down the hill.

We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.
