Food: The grocery store is right across the square. They sell everything, including fresh bread and pastries, fruit, vegetables, meat, wine, dairy, toiletries, specialty deli products, etc. Fresh meat, but no fresh fish, only frozen. In Soller (10 min away) you can find a daily traditional fresh market with fish and seafood right out of the Port's boats, local meat, and locally grown vegetables, nuts and fruits (Open 7AM-2-PM). There are five restaurants in the village, and many more in the nearest town of Soller and in the Port of Soller where you will find fresh fish and seafood specialties, hearty soups and paellas, grilled pork and lamb, and also Italian, Indian and Chinese food. The valley of Soller is famous for its orange and lemon specialties, in addition to the traditional fish, lamb, pork, and seafood dishes. The town of Soller prides itself in its pastry shops. Restaurant prices are quite reasonable.
Keys / cleaning: Contact agent in town will give you the keys, show you how to run appliances, open and close doors, inform you about garbage and recycling procedures, etc. Clean bedding and towels provided. Contact staff available constantly. Weekly cleaning and change of sheets upon request.
Transportation: Rental cars available at the airport. Bikers: you can take the bus to Palma and another bus or train to Soller, and then ride three Km. uphil to get to the village. Buses from Soller to Palma and vice-versa available every hour. Buses from tFornalutx to Soller and Port the Soller available about 3-4 times a day. There is a cable car every half an hour from Soller to the Port of Soller. Fornalutx to Soller walk: 20-25 minutes, drive in 7 minutes. Fornalutx - Port walk: 45-minutes, drive in 10 minutes. Boat excursions available from the Port of Soller to local cobblestone beaches like Cala Tuent, Torrent de Pareis, and La Calobra. Buses to Deia and Valldemossa also available from Soller.
