This superb detached country house is conveniently located in open countryside yet only a short stroll away from Manresa beach, a local supermarket and a restaurant. The old town of Alcudia with its ancient roman ruins, narrow streets and weekly market is just 1.5km away. The entrance hallway leads to a very spacious living room with dining area, having a feature fireplace. Entertainment is provided here with a Satellite TV, DVD player and stereo system. From the living room an archway gives access to a large breakfast area and fitted kitchen, which is equipped with modern appliances. In addition, there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a family bathroom on the ground floor. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor gallery landing where there is one double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. All the bedrooms have access to a large balcony. This centrally heated villa is very comfortable, being furnished and equipped throughout to a high standard.

The town of Alcudia and the compact port of Alcudia are situated on the neck of one of Mallorca's northern peninsulas. Many visitors take an Alcudia holiday for the beach alone with its 11 km of curving white sand that shelves gently into the sea. There are many beach-side cafés and restaurants and a great variety of water sports to be enjoyed as well as other local activities to keep you occupied including horse riding and golf. The nightlife is centred around the local bars and night-clubs which are lively but not rowdy. Alcudia is just what you would expect from a beach holiday, with a range of nearby cultural sites to visit as well. There is the walled town of Alcudia itself, with Roman ruins where a lovely Sunday market is held regularly. Further a field there are unspoilt mountain villages with stunning scenery, beaches and coves off the beaten track. The cosmopolitan city of Palma, capital of Mallorca, is just 50 kilometres away.

This villa I cannot recommend because:-

This is the second year we have rented Casa Joan Contona, last year the villa was reasonably clean and cared for, this year not so -- the cleaning standard was not good enough, they have choosen not to replace light bulbs anywhere in the exterior and several in the villa. Overall we were very dissapointed with the villa.
The position of this villa is excellent, but we would not return to Casa Joan Contona because it needs renovating. Electricity supply needs upgrading could not use the oven with the lights on it would blow the fuse!!
