This superb converted farmhouse has been renovated to a high standard and is accessed by a long private drive. It is set at the foot of the mountains with beautiful views all round. The pretty resort of Cala San Vincente is just 15 minutes walk away and offers a number of fine restaurants, shops and a safe sandy beach. The accommodation, which is on two levels, is accessed by large wooden doors leading to a spacious lounge / dining room. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom and a family bathroom as well as the fitted kitchen, utility room, store room and pantry. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor landing having one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower room. Refurbishment throughout has been done to a high standard preserving many of the house’s original features including the exposed beams and magnificent stone fireplace.

Cala San Vincente is one of the smaller, lesser known resorts on the island. The village itself is part of the municipal district of Pollensa on the North West coast of the island, approximately 62km north of the capital Palma and 5km North West of Pollensa old town. Cala San Vicente offers several fantastic walks progressing through the stunning countryside or visiting the nearby Bronze Age caves. There is a weekly Inca market a short distance from the resort. Climbing the walls in the best possible way!

Renting Villa Clavet, for unfortunately only one week, provided a perfect vacation for my girlfriend and I. Being a climber and distance runner and my g/f being a photographer we were delighted to find the location actually surpassed the pictures on the website. We were 0.5km away from the town of Cala San Vincente and wedged between two mountains (the Serra de Concavacs providing an amazing view from the front of the villa). Being isolated we shared our space with birds of prey and little else although a 2-3 minute drive found us by the beach and bars. Cala San Vincente was very different from the lager lout destination we had heard Mallorca to be and was only 5 minutes away from the MA-13 highway leading through the mountains across the north of the island. From here we visited amazing locations such as Sal Colabra, which I would recommend to anyone, although good walking boots are advisable. If you love to climb, run or enjoy photography or simply want to relax, this is a perfect choice you wont regret. Typical man, forgot to mention the villa itself was spotless with good facilities.
