This newly renovated, private countryside villa is in a tranquil setting with spectacular views from every part of the house, but is within a few minutes drive of the traditional market town of Santa Margalida with its tree lined 'plaza' and magnificent church. The house has been lovingly restored and has beautiful antique furniture and all modern amenities. There is a large private swimming pool to the side of the house and ample terraces for relaxed sunbathing. The house is surrounded on all sides by open fields, has a small garden with orange and lemon trees to one side and ample parking. There is a covered BBQ area perfect for alfresco dining. The upstairs bedroom has a large terrace with stunning views. There is also a large table and chairs for outside dining which has a covered sunshade overlooking the pool and the spectacular views. This beautiful villa is perfect if you want total peace and tranquility away from all the crowds.

This villa is less than 5 minutes by car to the traditional Spanish village of Santa Margalida, with its large central square surrounded by trees, shops and bars. Here you can enjoy a drink and tapas in a typical Spanish setting. The resort of Can Picafort is only a 10 minute drive away where all of the amenities of a major resort are available. Here also is the fantastic beach extending for numerous miles all the way to Alcudia. A 45 minute drive will take you to the historic city of Palma with its Mediterranean and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Half an hours drive will see you at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains with breathtaking views across the island and out to sea.

Additional information about rental rates

  • An extra child / baby can be accommodated in a folding bed or cot at an additional charge of 50 euros per week. Arrival and departure days are flexible together with times for checking in and out depending whether other clients are arriving on the same day. This can be arranged on booking.
  • The minimum rental period is one week and obviously longer periods are possible. The total price will be calculated on a pro-rata basis on the number of days booked. i.e 10 days will be the weekly rate divided by 7 and multiplied by 10.

Tranquil holiday in Santa Margalida

As a family of four we stayed at the finca during August 2009. Its tranquility suited our needs perfectly and the property was nicely presented, clean and comfortable.It's location enabled us to visit many attractions across the island whilst still being located in a quiet rural area.If you like to wake up to the sounds of farm animals instead of the hustle and bustle of a holiday resort this is an ideal finca as it's situated within a small holiding.We too became familiar with the local residents(3 very friendly horses)! An excellent introduction to Mallorca for us.

We stayed in the villa in July 2009. It is beautiful with a large pool which was perfect for our family. Both the interior and exterior are of a very high standard and the setting is lovely. You are surrounded by countryside however it is not too isolated. The town of Santa Margalida is 2 mins away for any basics you may need and Can Picafort is 10 minutes by car. There are many reasonably priced restaurants and bars there (Wotsits was our favourite). The beach is lovely too. You can also head for Alcudia for a bigger selection. This is about 15 minutes away. Head for for Can Picafort then take the road for Port D'Alcudia. Eroski is a good supermarket just as you enter Can Picafort. You will need a car if you stay at the villa. We look forward to returning. Thoroughly recommended.

Our Majorca Retreat

We stayed at this villa in July 2008 and absolutely loved it. This was the third villa holiday we've had in Majorca and this villa was our favourite. The pool is a good size, there's loads of space inside and out and it's been beautifully restored by the owner. The views are wonderful and my children especially loved the neighbours (3 Spanish horses) who we made friends with. This villa is very traditional, yet with all the modern comforts you could need. We hope to go back one day. Highly recommended.
