We stayed here for 2 weeks last May. It was the beginning of the season, so we were the first holiday makers. The apartment has everything you could possibly need and is geared towards families and people staying long term. The location is peaceful yet close enough to amenities to be practical. All rooms were spacious and airy. There was enough living and sleeping space and storage for myself, my husband and three children aged 12, 4 and 2. We found the apartment clean and family friendly: it was safe, had a first aid box, highchairs on request and buckets and spades/games for the children. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a microwave, toaster, plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. I sometimes find when self catering there is no dishcloths, bottle openers, sharp knives for cooking and baking sheets etc and I need to take my own. However, this apartment had everything you could possibly need. Also, having a washing machine and clothes airer made our holiday much more comforable as we could wash beach towels and the kids' swimwear/clothes etc. There is also a regular maid service.
There was a BBQ beside the pool, and sun loungers around the pool area. The pool is lovely and very private. The beach was about 3 mins walk down a steep flight of steps.
Arenall d'en castell and Coves Noves centre are around about a 15 mins walk. There is a shortcut to the restaurants and resort centre of Arenell down a steep flight of stairs near the apartment, then you walk over the whole beach to the other side of the horseshoe shaped bay.
We found the owner friendly, easy to deal with and accomodating when we had to change our travel arrangements. The online description and photos of the apartment are accurate.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing beach holiday, but within walking distance of the resort centre, restaurants and shops, then this is the holiday for you! It is popular with Spaniards. There is not much night life, entertainment, noise or traffic which suited us all perfectly. In high season there are pedaloes on the beach but there is not many activities for those seeking adventure. We mangaged without a car, but really could have done with one to travel around to different beaches and for food shopping. The local supermarkets were expensive.
All in all, a lovely, relaxing holiday for the whole family, at a very reasonable price. It was excellent value for money in a lovely, private location. We will definitely be back!
