Waking up to the sun sparkling on the sea...

Our first choice when looking for a holiday is a "Sea View". This property certainly did not disappoint! A beautiful sweeping bay is the view from the main bedroom window and from the grassy area in front of the apartment.
This was our first trip abroad with our 16 month old son, so we wanted to be able to sit & enjoy the sunset over the water when he'd gone to bed - helped by a glass of wine or two! The apartment was safe for Harry, gated patio area, no stairs, a bath not just a shower - which were all reasons we chose it too.
We went for 2 weeks at the start of June, the first week there was hardly anyone else in the complex, which we quite liked - the 2nd week then seemed busy!! But was by no means noisy or crowded at all. The complex was clean, well maintained & had established gardens.
The resort was small, with not much going on in early June. There was a handful of restaurants, we only tried one on the last night which was delicious. We can't remember the name of it - but it was in the row of bars/ restaurants - and was very popular. There is a supermarket, which was pricey!!! We tried to stock up at the larger Spa in El Mercado, which was a bit cheaper.
We had a car for the entire holiday, which we felt was necessary. We travelled around the island a lot, exploring lots of different beaches which was great. The island is beautiful and we feel it would be a shame not to go out & about.
The sun shone every day (except the first day) and we had a wonderful holiday.
So what was wrong????
The only down side was that the apartment, we felt, was a little out of date. For example the soft furnishings were quite worn and the kitchen utensils were basic and dated too. However this didn't stop us having a great time.
Owner's Response: Hello and thanks very much for the feedback.
I have just returned from Menorca having undertaken my annual inspectin of the apartment. I will be giving the apartment its annual "facelift" before the 2009 rental season. This will include replacing curtains and cushions, updating kitchen utensils etc, a full programme of interior decoration and anything else that I feel will offer you, the tenant, an enhancement to your enjoyment of your holiday.
