First floor apartment set in lovely gardens with palm trees. A choice of three pools and four restaurants on the complex Apartment consists of two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two singles, both have ceiling fans...Well equipped kitchen and lounge has a double sofa bed. Two good sized private balconies. Set behind a nature reserve, with a ten minute walk to the beach and five minute walk to resort centre with plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. Situated twenty minutes from the airport and capital Mahon.

Son Bou boasts the largest beach and is ideal for young children. There are plenty of sun loungers and water sports to hire .There are three beach bars to choose from. There is also a little duck pond at the beach and behind lies the nature reserve. Son bou centre consists of shops bars and restaurants, the shops range from seaside bucket and spade to more upmarket, plenty of supermarkets and a chemist. The bars and restaurants are family friendly and most have high chairs.

The apartment is well equipped for a family. It has a comfy sofa bed with a telly, DVD player, Cd & radio. For the younger ones there is a PlayStation 2 with various games, board games, books etc. The apartment has lots of little extras, a hairdryer is supplied also a cooler bag & picnic set. There is also an iron & ironing board, a travel cot & foldaway highchair seat. On the complex there are 3 swimming pools with paddling pools/water chutes, 4 restaurants, play area for children, tennis courts & a maze. There is a well stocked supermarket & first aid centre all within 5 mins of the apartment. There is nightly entertainment, shows/children’s disco etc. At the reception you can hire safety boxes & also leave your cases & use their showers if you have to check out before your flight. Our apartment is managed so there is always someone to help you, or if a appliance breaks it will be replaced. There is a near by golf course at Son Parc.

A regular bus service runs to the capital Mahon. There is also the son bou express a fun train which takes you to the centre, beach, and tours the resort. There are several car hire places in son bou or car hire can be arranged from the airport. Although it is not necessary to have a car. We can help you with car hire or flights if needed. There are several low cost carriers including Monarch, British airways, Thomson fly, Jet 2, Excel airways, Easyjet or many charter airlines booked through Avro. My husband & I plus our 3 children (2,5,14) all loved the resort of Son Bou and the apartment, it was clean and well maintained and in an ideal location. We visted Menorca in June 2007 just before my sons 2nd Birthday. Greg and Jo the owners of the property provided us with lots of information about the resort, how to book a car, where to eat and they even arranged for a birthday cake for my son.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, they also arranged our transfers to and from the airport.
The apartment had DVD's, playstation and games, books and loads of inflatables for the kids to take to the pool, they thought it was fantastic.
We ate out a number of nights and thanks to gregs reviews on the places they had eaten (which can be found in the guide left in the apartment) we had some great meals.
The shops and the beach were just a five minute walk away but far enough for there to be no noise at night.
As soon as we came back we booked again for July 2008.

As this was our first family holiday together we wanted to go somewhere that was family friendly and relaxing.

My husband, daughter (21months) and I stayed at the apartment in June 2009. We had a lovely holiday together. The apartment and location was ideal, it was clean, spacious and relaxing and had everything that we needed. We were pleased to find some buckets/spades, sun umbrellas, beach matts and much more to make use of during our stay...

There was a choice of three pools which were in close proximity and the walk to the beach took about 10min. The beach was clean and beautiful with clear blue/turqouise sea.

Son Bou was a family friendly resort. There was a choice of bars and places to eat which catered for children - we decided to sit out on the spacious balcony a couple of nights to have dinner.

The transfers were arranged through the owners (who were very helpful and friendly) and were waiting for us on our arrival at Mahon Airport -the transfer to the apartment was 20mins - fantastic location.

We loved the apartment and resort very much and would love to go back again. We will definitely recommend to others.

Andy,Jodie,Matthew,and myself arrived on the friday evening on May 22 2009. The accomodation was inviting and spacious and we made good use of the new balcony always eating breakfast and dinner there. The pools were all loverly although we as a family spent most time at son bou gardens as the children liked the pool. All the restraunts on the complex were very welcoming and the food was excellent. Especially the steak dinner we had just before we left for the airport. We took a walk into the village where there is more restraunts and bars. We liked the Irish bar where we could watch the football and the children could go on the internet for a euro or play with the games. The Beach was quite a walk from the apartment but we foud it well worth the trip as the scenary is breath taking and the children liked seeing the ducks waddle across the beach, they also liked the shallow waters before you got to the deep sea. As both of them are not strong swimmers we felt safe letting them play in the sea. We all got pretty burnt that day so take the umbrellas for shade and plenty of suncream.
Overall we found the holiday very relaxing so much so we did not want to leave after just one week and reluctantly packed. Matthew hid all his clothes under his bed so we would not go but alas we had too.

We both agree that the appartment made the holiday complete.It provided everything we needed Hairdryer,washing machine, playstation all in all a home from home and I have already recomended it and the location to my friends and family.

We stayed in the apartment in October 2008 and had a fabulous holiday there and the apartment was excellent, very close to all amenities.We went out every day on the local buses which were on time and very cheap. You could get to Mahon for 2.20 euro.Will definately reccommend to all my friends.

Great Holiday for the Family

After our visit to Son Bou at the San Jamie Apartment we were over the moon ! Such a great relaxing place with fantastic things for the kids and plenty of night life.
The apartment was clean and tidy and all things readily avialable to hand when needed. Great balcony to sit on in the evenings and dream the evening away in the 28-30 degree heat and dine on a lovely Menorca meal washed down with a glass of Sangria on the local Estralla lager.
Only a short walk to 3 great pools all safe for the kids, Lovely safe Beach with clean sand and beautiful turquoise sea. At night a 5 min walk to the complexes heartbeat, the free entertainment on offer every night of the week.

All in all a beautiful place to visit and only a 2 Hour flight from Birmingham Airport. Wonderful !!
