Further details for the house in Minorca (Menorca), Spain
The house is a 5 minute walk into the town centre of Calan Porter, 15 minutes drive from Mahon the capital and airport. Plenty of bars and restaurants, excellent supermarket, butcher and baker. Wonderful bay, safe for children, 2 excellent beach bars open all day long, serving local ‘Tapas’ or Paella. Entertainment each evening in various complexes open to everyone. Lovely walk into the next bay of Calas Covas. A great resort for everyone.
The house has it's own private swimming pool (8.5 metres long), surrounded by pretty flower beds which include Bougainvillea and many other plants and shrubs. Huge sun-bathing terrace with plenty of sun beds. Also adjacent, smaller extremely sunny terrace with Menorcan style BBQ area. Nearby clothes-drying area and washing machine. There are further terraces on the first and second floors of the property. The second floor terrace having the most stunning views of Calan Porter and the bay. A welcome pack will be left in the house for your arrival.
There is a daily bus service into Mahon, which runs every hour, except during siesta time. If you want to see Menorca properly, then hiring a car is advisable. Information on this can be supplied by owners on reserving the house. If you wish to hire a car you will be met at the airport by the car hire rep who will also help you with directions to the house (only 15 mins away).
