Villa 'Pedro'

My partner and I got a very good price as a last minute deal from Solmar Villas on this property, and had a great two weeks there. Like the previous review, we found the description to be accurate, and the location to be just far enough away from the town centre without being too far. We had no problems with the layout, or the facilities. And the villa itself was great. We took full advantage of the pool, spending at least an hour almost every day in it.
We also had no contact with the local agent, and similarly noticed the lack of basics like toilet roll, washing up liquid, bleach etc. And likewise had to buy in on the first day, only to leave behind what we didn't use up. And ok, the furniture, bedding and towels were basic, and the kitchen could do with new pots and pans and cutlery. And for 2 days we were stuck inside, as the weather turned for the worse and we witnessed some fantastic thunder storms, with every kind of lightning you can imagine. And for those 2 days, the only English speaking channels on the tv, were the two 24 hour news channels. But we were on holiday, and nothing was going to spoil it.
We both adore Cala en Porter, and ate in almost every restaurant in town. With a couple of day trips to Mahon, and a walk to Calas Coves just down the coast. We visited the Coves d'en Xoroi twice. Once during the day, impressive, and once on a Saturday night, magical.
And the villa was an ideal base for our holiday.
When it came to coming home at the end of our two weeks, we were unhappy to leave it behind. And we look back through our photos with fond memories of Villa Pedro. We would recommend this property to anyone, and we would love to stay there again, but it is a larger property than one we usually look for.
