Family-friendly four bedroomed villa with two bathrooms, heated pool(8mx4m) and satellite TV, within walking distance from the resort centre and the beach, yet in a quiet residential location. The villa is ideal for two families holidaying together, as well as the larger family. The villa is well-equipped, with washing machine, dishwasher, 2 fridges, CD player, DVD and X-box with some games. The outside area has plenty of comfortable sun loungers as well as a shaded eating area. Some comments from our guest book: 'Lovely to stay in a villa with a bit of character - we will be back!' 'Well equipped villa - we spent most of our time lazing around the pool - had a great time.'

Cala en Porter is a lively little resort, about 15 minutes from the airport and the capital of Menorca, Mahon, and yet also ideally placed to discover the rest of this beautiful island. The resort has a variety of restaurants, a few bars, three supermarkets and even a children's amusement park with a bar for mum and dad! The beach is lovely with a very gently sloping shelf - ideal for kids - with pedaloes and loungers, a children's play area and a couple of beach bars where you can enjoy the sunset before catching the tourist train back up to the resort.

  • A deposit of 20% of the rental cost is required on booking -this is non-refundable. The balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival at the villa. High chairs and cots are available at a cost of £10 and £6 per week respectively, payable with your villa balance. Please let us know in advance if you require these so that we can arrange for them to be in the villa on your arrival. The pool can be heated by arrangement at an extra cost of £90 per week, again payable with your villa balance.

Great Family Holiday

We had a wonderful family holiday here with our 2 small children (1 & 3). The island was lovely and relaxing, but still with plenty to do and really nice shallow beaches for the kids.
The villa was ideal as we could sit in the living room in the evening with the doors open whilst the kids were tucked up. The pool was well heated and was really warm still in October.
The location of the villa was great being in a quiet location, but still a short walk for a meal or a drink and plenty of choice in the resort.
We would definitely recommend this to other families.

I would definitely recommend this property to a friend,the owners where very helpful (finding windsurfing school, resturants in Mahon etc..) pleasure to deal with. As mentioned below, Villa in great location short walk into center, clean, quiet & great setup with two wings to the villa. Put the 17-24 yr olds in one side & we had the other side with 11yr old. All ages had a great time, dont need a car but do recommend it as the Island has loads of places to visit. Excellent, many thanks.

Great villa 15-29 AUGUST 08

I think this is a lovely perfectly situated villa in a quiet residential location, far enough away from the resort centre not to near any noise, but close enough to enjoy all it's amenities being just a short stroll away.
The villa has everything you could possibly wish for and is a very comfortable home the owners have provided everything you could possibly need from cd's to freezer blocks for you coolbag, and have provided an excellent villa book with everything you could want to know about the villa and resort.
The villa is like a couple of 2 bedrooms villas joined together making this ideal for 2 families wishing to holiday together without getting under each others feet.
Having a second kitchen/utility room was a god send we used the large fridge/freezer in this room just for drinks which was great, and the pool was great deep enough to swim in without scaping your feet on the bottom.
I would high recommend this villa to anyone who wants to chill out and relax but still wants the conveince of a resort close by.
I would recommend a car although it's not needed for this villa as it would be a shame not to explore this lovely island.
We will definately be using this villa again thanks

An ideal base for a relaxing break

Having spent an enjoyable week in Menorca, we would recommend this villa as an ideal base to explore the island. Well equipped and comfortable (the heated pool was especially appreciated!), the villa was great for lazy days in as well as centrally located for trips out. Just a short walk from town, there were no arguments over who was the designated driver although evenings in were just as pleasant as the location in a quiet residential area. Satellite tv, dvd and games station ensured all were occupied too!
We found the villa clean and well maintained and would recommend to others for a peaceful, enjoyable holiday.

Great heated Swimming Pool

The Villa was in a great position for easy walking to the resort facilities and the beach ( take the Noddy train back up or take your car the walk is very steep) Take your pick from the restaurants we preferred the one next to where the small train waits ( can’t remember the name) the villa has a guest book with lots of recommendations of where to eat and visit and we found it very helpful.
We enjoyed the heated swimming pool and lazy afternoons sunbathing around it whilst catching up with some R-n-R.

The villa was basic and we found the beds very creaky, the TV satellite programs were tricky to find at first but if you need any assistance Nigel will come to your rescue, we left our pool tubes for future guests to enjoy and some cleaning cloths.

This villa I think is more suited for families with younger children who can swim ! ! The pool takes up most of the outside space and is not fenced off, however this precaution would seriously restrict the flow from villa to pool.

We found the owners of the villa very helpful and a pleasure to do business with, they answered all our questions and even suggested a local car hire company if we wanted, as it was we went with Hertz at the airport and found the just great.

All in all we had a great holiday and like most things it’s as good as you make it. The resort is purpose built and provides very little for older kids, we were three adults so had loads to visit on this lovely island with our hired car.
