This garden villa is situated on the scenic north coast of Menorca overlooking the unspoilt bay and beach of Cala Tirant. Playas de Fornells has been tastefully designed to recapture the atmosphere of a traditional Spanish village and the garden setting and lovely views ensure the right frame of mind for a relaxing holiday. The swimming pool to the rear is shared with the other garden villas in a delightful garden. The beach is only two minutes away and provides safe swimming in the sheltered bay. The long golden sands of Cala Tirant are never crowded even in the height of summer. A small supermarket is close by so that self catering is very convenient. Dining out however, is a real pleasure in nearby Fornells, a picturesque and unspoilt fishing village noted for its seafood. Fornells also boasts the Es Pla restaurant, noted for its lobster Caldereta and frequented by the King of Spain!

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and found the property fairly easily. The property was clean and had lots of useful literature about the island etc. It felt very safe and it was good to have the communal pool to relax around when it was too windy for the beach. The beach was an easy walk as were the two supermarkets. I can recommend the 'pollo ensalada' at the bar up the road as a must try. The people at the management office were also very helpful (and English) with recommending some sight seeing. The horseriding was a great experience for one of our party. We went to the Festival of horses in Mahon which was also fantastic. I would recommend hiring a car if you are going for more than a week.
It was always nice to come back to the villa after a night out and sit outside on the terrace for a while before bed.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Romantic Getaway, Sightseeing

A lovely situation with great views over the sea and Monte Toro. The garden setting is very relaxing and the long beach very close for easy swimming.This is a very tasteful environment and being close to the traditional market town of Mercadel and the lovely unspoilt fishing village of Fornells is a bonus.

Gut gelegen, um Ausflüge über die Insel zu machen, Blick auf die dreihundert Meter lange Sandbucht, die bestens zum Schwimmen geeignet ist; das Haus ist nicht neu, bietet aber alles, was man braucht. Wir verlebten dort einen sehr schönen Urlaub.
