There is no better place to enjoy the memorable view of the sun rising over the Mediterranean Sea. The local facilities include tennis, football, bowling, swimming, harbour, water sports and a sub-aqua club, all enjoying a semi-tropical setting. Our guests will appreciate the quality and variety of sports, dining out, culture and of course shopping in the locality. Our villa has both heating and air conditioning and has its own swimming pool, a private sun terrace and barbeque facilities.

Shopping

There are two main shopping districts near to S'Algar, each with a wide variety of shops that carry merchandise ranging from gifts and T-shirts to the finest haute-couture to ice cream. Sant Lluis is a short drive of around two miles and the port of Mahon is only 10 minutes drive. There is a regular bus service from S'Algar to Sant Lluis and on to Mahon. The Shopping area is mainly in the centre of Mahon, but there are a number of industrial estates close by where there are several supermarkets which sell almost anything! For the golfing enthusiast there are several courses in Menorca, and as the island is only 30 miles long, none of them are too far away.

Activities

The beaches of Menorca are world-renowned.The largest and one of the most spectacular beaches on the island is Son Bou,which is several miles long. It is shallow and very safe for children. There are numerous other beaches, too many to mention. Some can only be accessed by boat. Boat hire is very common and readily available. The world famous S'Algar underwater diving club is one minutes walk from Case Joanna. If you travel to Mahon, which has the second deepest natural harbour in the world, you will see one of the largest selection of luxury yachts and cruisers anywhere, moored at the side of the street, available for a close inspection! There will be cruise liners docking and ferries coming and going, a wealth of excitement for the maritime lover.

Dining & Night-Life

A wide variety of culinary pleasures await the Menorca visitor. You may choose to eat in a casual beach atmosphere or in a more formal setting at a restaurant with tuxedoed waiters, candlelight and soft music. You will find an excellent selection of Spanish, Continental and Italian cuisine’s that compare favourably with the finest big city restaurants. Menorca also has several great places for breakfast or lunch and most will arrange take-outs for enjoying at the beach. Later in the afternoon you'll want to try a cool treat from one of the wonderful ice cream and yoghurt shops.
