A Dream of a spacious, secluded detached villa

El Sueno (The Dream) is a spacious, well laid out detached villa, set in 2,500 m2 of grounds, with a proper swimming pool and attached paddling/lounging pool. There are different areas, both inside and out, for peace and quiet and for communal activities. The bedrooms have good quality comfortable beds - two have kingsize doubles and two have twin beds. The double rooms have ensuite facilities and the twins share a bathroom. The house is flexible: there is a double room on the living area floor, with its own patio area, overlooking the pool and gardens. This is ideal when there are only two guests, or for more elderly guests. Wheelchair access to the pool terrace would be difficult. The villa is located in a wooded private residential estate, set on a hill, close to the shops and restaurants, shops, vast sandy beach and golf course, but away from the hurley burley of the holiday apartment area. To make the most of your stay, the hire of a vehicle is advised.

El Sueno is situated in the private residential estate in Son Parc, half way between the beach and the golf club. Son Parc is on the green, hilly north coast of Menorca, about 10 kilometres from the main 'motorway' road, which is like a fish backbone running between the major towns of Mahon and Cuitadella, with roads branching off from both sides. Son Parc is roughly halfway between the two towns and so ideally placed for exploration of the whole island. Son Parc beach is a vast expanse of sand, backed by dunes, with a cafe to one end and lifeguard services in high season and pedalos for hire. Perfect for children. The more active can walk over the cliffs to more secluded coves, play golf, tennis or horse ride. Mercadal (9 kil.) offers most of the shops and services you would expect in a modern town. Fornells, a picturesque old fishing village, is about 8 kilometres away and a great place for promenading, restaurants and gift shops and hiring boats. A perfect location.

Three bedrooms open onto the pool terrace and have locking louvred shutters and glazed doors. The upstairs double bedroom has its own patio with awning and both doubles are ensuite. The twin bedrooms share a family bathroom.

Notes:

The swimming pool has an approximate depth of 5 - 9 feet with step access. The paddling/lounging pool is about 0.5 metre deep and has an underwater wall dividing it from the main pool. Strict supervision of children is necessary. The property is suitable for mobile elderly, but there are internal and external stairs to access the pool terrace, not suitable for wheelchair - bound guests. Guests who smoke are requested to do so outside the villa. The kitchen is well equipped: in addition to the list, there is a double oven, toaster, kettle and food processor and plenty of crockery, an ironing board and iron. There is a rotary clothes dryer in the garden. A ground floor storeroom holds plenty of pool toys, bats and balls and beach equipment.
