El Rancho review

We've just arrived back after spending 10 days at El Rancho. La Manga resort is very well maintained and secure but you definitely need a car because it's quite isolated. La Manga town isn't up to much - we ate there one night but preferred the restaurants on site. Prices are comparable to the UK and I would recommend Meribel's, Asia and The Wok. We took our daughter and her friend (two 15yr olds) who don't particularly like sport and as there isn't really much to do on an evening apart from eat and go to Si Bar, from their perspective the holiday tanked. I must admit I prefer things to be a little livelier on an evening. All in all, a bit of a mixed review from me but only because my daughter expected more and made life difficult when it didn't materialise!! The villa was fine and Erica even left a complimentary bottle of water, milk and Cava for us which was most welcome. If you like sport then you're well catered for but if you don't and you have children of this age you my advice is don't let this stop you, just plan your strategy very carefully.
