El Rancho holiday villa: La Manga Club

I don’t usually do this, but I have decided to make an exception, for what can only be described as “the perfect holiday!”
It started with our initial contact with the owners, who were very informative about the area, provided Hire car details, a driving map from the airport, emergency contact details..... All in all, they made our trip easy, which was unexpected and welcomed, especially as we were travelling with our 6 month old baby!
The Villa is beautiful. The owners obviously look after the place and as it’s on 3 floors, it’s like a home-from-home. The terrace on the roof is spectacular - a bottle a wine as the sun sets, with views right out to the Mar Menor - Fabulous.

We were at the Villa for a week at the beginning of September 2009. The Weather was perfect and as Peak season had finished, we almost had the pool to ourselves (which is literally in the villas communal back garden). So do yourself a favour and opt for a quieter month - you don’t need to book in the restaurants (except at the weekend), and there’s a real laidback relaxed atmosphere, like a lazy summers day that lasts for a whole week. I can’t thank the owners enough for their attention to every detail both with the villa and their help in getting there.

There are lots of beautiful villas in La Manga club, but you will need to go a very long way to get the whole package like this one, I just can’t recommend it high enough. We’ll be back next year without a doubt!
