Local Activities:
Mar de Cristal has a selection of shops and bars/restaurants within walking distance.
The black mud from the Mar Menor which is believed to help relieve the pain of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
There are boat trips leaving from the port daily mainly during the summer. They will take you around the vast coast of the Mar Menor.
Scuba diving is popular in this area and there are schools in La Manga and Cabo de Palos which organise daily trips by boat and offering equipment to rent for newcomers.
Also in the village there are tennis clubs with courts open to the public all year round - there is also horse riding, go karting, bowling and lots of other activities nearby
The area is relatively flat so is perfect for cycling and walking. For those that don't mind more of a hike there are natural beaches which require a few steep hills but well worth it when you get there for spectacular views and great unspoilt beaches
