These fabulous apartments are situated in Mar de Cristal which is situated by the beaches of the Mar Menor. The village has a selection of shops and restaurants and is under 5 minutes walk from the beach. There are markets in the neighbouring villages which sell a wide selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish, household goods and many other products La Manga Club is a short drive away which also offers a whole host of activities including golf, tennis and spa facilities. Recently more golf courses have opened in the region and a list of these is supplied in the information book you will find in the property. Golfing holiday breaks can also be arranged. There is a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance but if you travel a little further afield you can find a large selection of restaurants offering national and international dishes at very reasonable prices. This region of Spain is situated on the Costa Calida. The Costa Calida is on the South East coast and is the driest region of Spain and enjoying of average 320 days of sunshine each year. It is therefore not just a good spot for the summer but for breaks throughout the year The Mar Menor is the nearest sea which is a large salt water lagoon which enjoys warm shallow waters perfect for all water sports and also being a good spot for all the family The Mar Menor is famous for The Black Mud which is said to have therapeutic qualities and helps in the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. The waters of the Mar Menor can reach up to 30c during the summer months which is why water sports are so popular here. The area around the Mar Menor is quite flat and makes a great place for walking and cycling. There are also natural beaches close by which offer private coves and secluded spots

Local Activities: Mar de Cristal has a selection of shops and bars/restaurants within walking distance. The black mud from the Mar Menor which is believed to help relieve the pain of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. There are boat trips leaving from the port daily mainly during the summer. They will take you around the vast coast of the Mar Menor. Scuba diving is popular in this area and there are schools in La Manga and Cabo de Palos which organise daily trips by boat and offering equipment to rent for newcomers. Also in the village there are tennis clubs with courts open to the public all year round - there is also horse riding, go karting, bowling and lots of other activities nearby The area is relatively flat so is perfect for cycling and walking. For those that don't mind more of a hike there are natural beaches which require a few steep hills but well worth it when you get there for spectacular views and great unspoilt beaches
