Property Agent:
The apartment is managed by my agent David who lives 4 doors away. David can collect you from the airport and having lived there full time for the last few years has an excellent knowledge of the local area and will be pleased to answer any questions and provide you with some ideas on how best to spend your stay. Additionally he is on call to assist with any questions during your stay and will liaise with you directly prior to your arrival regarding access to the property, keys etc. A Welcome Pack can also be requested if specified in advance of your arrival.
He can also assist you with local knowldge on the many Golf courses nearby and help you with booking your T off time. La Manga club is a 2 minute drive and you will struggle to find a better course anywhere.
Also if you are interested in scuba diving then at Cabo de Palos a 10 minute drive away there are many dive shops that he can refer you to and advise the good ones to choose.
The beach is on the doorstep.
Nightlife & La Manga Strip:
La Manga Club Resort is only a few minutes away and the La Manga Strip provide an entertaining and varied choice for families, couples and groups of friends. Whatever you are in the mood for you will find it here. Listen to live bands at Spikes at the Hyatt Hotel, have a cocktail in the Piano Bar or visit one of the many bars within the resort.
The Manga Strip has some excellent seafood and traditional Spanish restaurants. There are lots of different bars, clubs and casinos to choose from within the area and whatever you prefer you are bound to find somewhere that meets you particular tatse.
Alternatively you may just want to walk to one of the many local PSanish restaurants and have a traditional Spanish meal and very reasonable rates or cook at home and sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sunset.
Activities - water sports & golf:
Thanks to the geographic conditions of the region and climate Mar Menor has been described as the best place in the world to practice nautical sports. The 2 distinct seas and infrastructure makes it a sailors paradise at numerous ports such as Puerto Tomas Maestro and Port of Cabo de Palos. Sailing schools and scuba diving clubs are all within a close proximity. There are several excellent Diving Clubs at Cabo de Palos that offer great value for money and well worth visiting some of the nearby dive sites. For those wishing to learn how to diev and qualify for their PADI qualifications then this is an ideal place to learn.
Lets not forget horse riding, cycling, blue flag beaches and boat trips.
As already mentioned there are many gold courses in the area and my agent will provide you with advise on the better ones to choose. I would say that La Manga is the best and you would need to book early during peak seasons.
Golf:
Costa Calida has some fantastic courses to play and over the past few years with the surge in more holidy makers and people moving full time to the region more have been built. The more established ones are excellent value and I would recommend that you book in advance during the peak season's to avoid any disappointment.
La Magna Club is still one of the best if not the best in Europe as voted over many years. The club has excellent facilities for the family while you play your round and restaurants and bars to relax and enjoy a meal and a few drinks after you have finished.
The apartment is only a few minutes drive to La Magna, but again is in close proximity to many more courses.
