You can either relax around the pool, adjacent to the apartment, or an easy 10 minute stroll away is the warm and shallow Mar Menor (inland sea) with its child safe beach and wide promenade.

This region of Spain is situated on the Costa Calida. The Costa Calida is on the South East coast & is the driest region of Spain enjoying around 320 days of sunshine, it is therefore ideal for all year round holidays. Mar de Cristal is 20 mins drive from Murcia/San Javier Airport. It is on the coast of the Mar Menor, a salt water lagoon, separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow peninsular, the water is about 5c warmer than the Med, the beach is sandy & child-friendly. The region offers excellent food & drink, water sports & golf, where you can play a different course everyday including Club La Manga, which is a short drive away & can be seen from the sun terrace. Other local attractions include the nature reserve & beautiful beaches of Calblanque National Park, the fishing village of Cabo de Palos, the historic city and harbour of Cartegena, La Manga Strip with restaurants, bars & nightlife & the nearby villages of Los Belones & Los Nietos with bars and some great restaurants.
