Although we are 50 metres from the beach, the La Manga Club is just 5 minutes away. Its 3 x 18 hole golf courses often hosts the Open. Several other good courses are within easy driving. For non-golfing guests, there are football pitches, numerous tennis courts, gym, squash, bowls, spa, pools, restaurants a 5 star hotel with Casino and nightly entertainment.
All this is open to the public all year round. Riding stables are just across the road. The old Roman town of Cartagena is 20 mins drive, and together with Murcia and Alicante offer great shopping, culture and eating. We are a short walk from 2 typical Spanish restaurants, though you will find the menu in English too. 5 minutes drive takes you to the cafe-lined quay of Cabo de Palos: watch the fish being brought in. A few minutes drive further takes you to the La Manga strip, with plentiful restaurants, bars, shops and miles of beaches.
This is really holiday for every generation of the family, but also good for romantic breaks too. From arthritis treatments to all the sporting activities, from high buoyancy seas brilliant for children, for windsurfing and sailing classes and go-carts for the older ones, not to mention the casino, or the undeveloped beaches of the Calblanque natural park next to the international diving centre of Cabo de Palos. Take a picnic to enjoy in the dunes or the untouched beaches: walk, cycle or ride the nature trails. It is not allowed to be built on, and just 15 minutes away.
The fruit and vegetables are all grown locally and sell in daily local markets., they taste wonderful, and our local restaurant does a great set menu for 7 euros. You can walk along the beach to something very sophisticated, however.
We are the closest apartment block to the beach, . All the rooms have ceiling fans. There's also hot and cold air conditioning. We have duvets, lightweight summer bedding, and pure cotton sheets for your comfort. Both bedrooms have wardrobes, chests of drawers, and lamps. The kitchen has oven, hob, micro-wave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. You can hire english DVD's locally, there's also a CD radio cassette player, and satellite TV. Cleaning charge of 40 euros is payable locally, on arrival a refundable deposit is taken against damage. For a small charge you can have bicycles delivered to your door, or you can hire a safe for 2 euros a day. We have a management company on call 24 hours a day should you require assistance, based locally, who will collect you from the air[port if you wish.
We respectfully ask that you smoke only on the balcony, not indoors. Any childrens equipment can be pre-delivered. There's parasol and equipment for the beach and balcony.
Golf:
Although situated on the beach, we are just 5 minutes drive from the La Manga Golf and Sports club. Its 3 x 18 hole courses often host the Open. There's also pitch and putt, numerous other sports, spa, restaurants and Casino. Its open all year round to the public, but is expensive to stay there. We are also within driving distance of several other courses (please ask us for details).
For non-golfing moments or family members, there's so much else on offer; from nature reserve beaches, sand dunes and trails to walk, cycle or ride, to city sophistication. Drive 5 minutes to The Strip for the beaches, bars and restaurants of the
Mediterranean side, then cross over the road to the Mar Menor - like a healing, warm bath in the summer.Both our apartments sleep 6, and we are happy to accomodate stays of less than a week. Car hire or chauffering can be arranged. The golf courses of Vilamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Finca and Altoreal are also under 45 minutes drive.
