New top floor apartment situated less than 3 minutes walk from the waters edge, with fine views of the clean safe Mar Menor – a natural lagoon, which is ideal for swimming, snorkelling etc. There is also a communal swimming pool & underground parking. It is a pleasant 5-min walk along the beach from Playa Honda where there are a couple of restaurants & bars, a small supermarket & a chemist. The following are all just 5 minutes drive away – Los Belones, a friendly village with plenty of bars & restaurants. Cabo De Palos, a pretty fishing port with several restaurants specialising in fresh seafood, & a large supermarket. La Manga Strip with sandy Mediterranean beaches & plenty of shops, bars & restaurants. The world famous La Manga Club golf resort including the Hyatt Hotel and Casino. There are several markets nearby & Cartagena is only a 20-minute drive, as is Murcia San Javier Airport with flights available through FlyBe & RyanAir. It is a 70-minute drive from Alicante Airport

The Calblanque National Park & Nature Reserves are just a couple of Kilometres away offering both strenuous and relaxing walks. Behind the hills is a rugged coastline with beautiful sandy beaches for a refreshing swim after your walk. These beaches are also accessible by car along rough tracks.

Apartment description: A new, modern apartment built to a high standard. All rooms have ceiling mounted fans. The bathroom has a bath/shower, wash basin, w/c & bidet. The kitchen has a 4 ring hob, seperate portable grill/oven. A large fridge/freezer & a washing machine.

Additional Facilities: This comfortable apartment is equipped with Air Conditioning - temperatures in the mid to upper 30's are common in the summer. There is also heating for those cool out of season evenings. There is a patio set on the balcony. There is a TV/DVD Player and a Radio/Cassette/CD Player.

Smoking: Tobacco odours are exacerbated and forced into other rooms by Air Conditioning, for the comfort of everyone, smoking is forbidden inside the apartment and only permitted on the balcony.

Other Activities: There are some lovely walks in the Calblanque Hills

Beautiful Mar Menor

Just a quick one, apartment was clean, good value and genuinely right on the beach. Views were great (it was the 9th floor) and the beach, even at the height of summer had quiet patches. Kevin (owner) was very helpful and the caretakers on site likewise, especially when my son locked us out! Would definitely recommend. If any quibbles, a bit English oriented and only one good Spanish place. (Meson Casablanca, great Menu del Dia and super a la carte) Mar Menor itself extremely suitable for small children and non-swimmers, you can walk out 50m and still only waist deep!
