This spacious two bedroom apartment is in Playa Honda (near La Manga). It is less than 50 metres from the beach, alongside the calm warm waters of the Mar Menor. It’s ideal for both families and golfers alike. The 4 year old apartment is on the 1st floor of the block and has 2 good size bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, and a spacious living room/diner with satellite TV, DVD player and a mini hi-fi. The large terrace overlooks the pool and has sea views too. There's a large open-air swimming pool with a jacuzzi island (open during the summer), and a heated indoor pool (during the winter). There's also a sauna, a gymnasium, safe kids play area, plus landscaped gardens with palm trees. The apartment has both air-conditioning and heating. All linen and towels and all mod cons are supplied. You'll be greeted on arrival, and a local contact will always be on hand to ensure you ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY

The non commercialised village of Playa Honda is close to the famous La Manga Strip and the La Manga Club. The apartment is just 50 metres from the calm, shallow waters of the Mar Menor - an area which has it's own micro-climate and boasts a minimum of 320 days of sunshine each year. It is an ideal location for both summer and winter breaks. Nearby are restaurants, beach cafe bars, a small supermarket and a pharmacy all within a one-minute beach side stroll along the promenade. Local villages, markets and marina's are a short drive away. The historic city of Cartegena is just 15 minutes drive. There are a number of great golf courses nearby too. Whether you are looking for a lazy sunbathing holiday, an action packed water sports holiday, or a golfing holiday, there is something for everyone at the Verdemar 3 at Playa Honda, La Manga. The complex is just 25 minutes from Murcia (San Savier) airport, or one hour from Alicante. A car is recommended so you can see the area in full.

  • These rates are for up to 4 people sharing.......This price includes cleaning, linen and towels, plus your meet and greet at the apartment (Airport pick-ups can be arranged at 35 Euros each way).......A nice welcome pack can be arranged for a small fee to make sure you have the basics to start your holiday (contact me for more details please).......If more than 4 people are sharing the apartment, there is an extra charge of £30 per extra person per week.
  • Christmas, New Year & Easter are charged at £200 per week.
  • A deposit of £100 will secure your booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday.
    A security bond of 100 Euros is payable locally, which is returned when vacating.

Golfing: This area is a haven for golf lovers........First of all there is the famous La Manga Club which is just 5 minutes away with it's 3 championship golf courses. There are other golf courses all within easy driving distance - Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, Altorreal and the new course La Finca.

The Beaches: There are many beaches around this area, both along the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. Try Calblanque, it's part of a nature reserve, and is just a few minutes drive away (well worth a visit)......The apartment itself is less than 50 metres from the beach........There are beach cafe bars, plus you can hire pedelo's, wind surfs, speed boats etc........This area is a haven for all types of water sports and has many teaching centres too for scuba diving, sailing, wind-surfing, water skiing etc...... Diving clubs and schools exist both at Cabo de Palos and in La Manga.

The Local Area: The famous La Manga strip with an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops is just a 5 minute drive away.....Cabo De Palos is beautiful. It's just a few minutes away and has a nice selection of restaurants and cafe bars surrounding the marina. It has a great market on Sundays.....The tourist information centre is in Cabo De Palos. The very Spanish village of Los Belones is nice and just a few minutes away too......The historic city of Cartagena, with it's Roman ruins is just 15 minutes away. .....A car is recommended to allow you to sample the surrounding villages and area.

the apartment has every thing you need for a relaxing holidaythe only drawback was the children congregated under our balcony at night and it was very noisey until the earley hours but this was only at the weekends when the locals came beach was only across the road and very clean shallow very warn water
every thing on web site was correct was met by john as we arrived and shown around had a great welcome pack wine beer bacon bread ect ect very impreasedthanks again lee very efficant

upon arrival we were met and shown around the apartment , very thoughtful welcome pack , clean apartment everything you needed was there , great huge fridge to keep beer cool and beautiful spacious balcony were we sat out all night , slightly noisy when we were there but that was only kids playin and chattin but did,nt distract us from our stay , i,m sure my smokey bbq annoyed others more above us . very good security to complex not that area is unsafe , prefered sea to pool only due to the warm shallow water and proximity of beach bar , excellent local eateries would we use again yes lee we will be there 09/09/2009 thanks john , liz , rhonda and ashley

Sunny week in Playa Honda

The apartment was just as described, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Key-holding arrangments were first class, and the welcome pack thoughfully put together. Everything worked.. I particularly liked the underground car park, getting luggage to the apartment via a lift very handy.
Out of season, many of the shops and restaurants were closed, but we expected that. Super restaurants at Cabo de Palos, five minutes away. Cartagena's Roman Amphitheatre a stunning visit also. A nice beach at Mar de Cristal, 5 minutes away, but the best we found was at Calblanque, again very close, but don't be put off by the dirt road, well worth the drive. Our only disappointment was the inoperative indoor heated pool, but since the weather was superb for time of year, this was less of an issue than it might have been. Communication with owner was excellent and his information pack would serve as an example for others. We would happily return. Even the feral cats on the open ground next to the complex had their charm.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

Excellent apartment, clean and well maintained.Welcome pack was a much appreciated surprise excellent security, as described in Internet brochure. Would definitely return and recommend to others. There was a pin board in the apartment with local markets, restaurants and taxi firms even the local bus timetable. Key exchange arrangements where smooth and trouble free. Pool area and grounds were cleaned daily. Beach clean and very close, shallow areas for safe swimming for children. Cabo de Palos has a lovely port restaurant area and only 10 minutes away by car.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

Too noisy appartment and in a 9 floors building !!

The description was not really accurate regarding the location in a big and noisy 9 floors building near a big dusty area.
The property was not clean at arrival , and not well-maintained.
I really would not recommend this property to a good friend.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers
Owner's Response: I am sorry Francoise did not like the complex or area, and naturally everybody is entitled to their opinion.

I know my description and photographs are accurate, and everything I state on the web site is true. It is just 50 metres from the Mar Menor, a 1 minute stroll to the restaurants and bars, and has all the facilities stated.

With regards the cleanliness of my apartment, I have never received a complaint in three years of owning this apartment, and shall certainly take this up with the cleaning company I employ.

Naturally, I cannot be held responsible for noisy tennants on holiday at the same time as Francoise.

I have had many complimentary emails from people who have rented my apartment, who have had a great time.

Again, I am sorry Francoise felt the need to leave this review, but can assure him that I will look into these matters.
