Lovely beach-front ground floor apartment. English and Spanish T.V. Patio to front, from which is the entrance to the air-conditioned living room/dining room with modern fitted kitchen to rear and through again to small rear courtyard with washing machine and room for laundry. The living room also leads off to two twin bedrooms and one bathroom. The apartment is just two minutes walk to the waterfront of the Mar Menor and also overlooks the salt lake adjacent to it. The apartment also benefits from the shared private swimming pool to the rear which has been landscaped. There are beach front bars & restaurants nearby as well as a small local supermarket (less than 10 minutes walk). Gated private parking to the front. La Manga is five minutes drive, as are bigger shops, and the lovely port village of Cabo de Palos. Great watersports, mud baths, food & entertainment.

The property is on the southern shore of the Mar Menor, an inland-sea ideal for water sports and safe bathing. From the property to the sandy beech is a 100 metre walk and the sea there is upto 10 degrees hotter than the Med. and so is just lovely to go in. There are also numerous beaches on the Med. itself, just 10 min drive away including the Calblanque national park region, which is spectacular, (snorkeling here is superb). The La Manga Club is 5 kilometers, famous for it's golf and the club itself. The La Manga strip, which juts out into the Med. for 20 kilometers to form the Mar Menor is a 5min drive and is good for nightlife and shopping. For day trips out, amongst other destinations and activities, Cartagena an historical Roman town and port with many modern shops is 25 kilometers away and Murcia city is about 45 kilometers away and is a great city for shopping, site seeing and nightlife (it's a university city so plenty of life).

Water Sports: If you would like to do some water sports, such as sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing etc and would like lessons or just to rent the gear when you go, then this can be arranged. For example, windsurfing courses, to be completed over one/two weeks can be arranged with the local instructor, situated a 20 minute stroll (or 5 minute drive) along the beach. I've done one of the courses myself (6 hours of windsurfing lessons over one week costs around 100 euros). It was excellent: Carlos is a patient teacher, and the water was so warm that I didn't mind falling in! After a week I was able to surf around the Mar Menor, turning at will- felt very proud of myself! They also do refresher lessons or just rent out windsurfing boards and sails, kayaks, pedalos, dingies, kite gear, etc by the hour/half day etc. They can provide certificates for Royal Yacht 1 and 2 etc. Contact us before you go and we'll be happy to give you more details.

Golf: la Manga Club is 10 mins. drive away with 3 courses-fairly high prices though New courses 20 mins drive are Serena and Roda both near St Javier airport Older courses 30 mins. drive are Villa Martin 1 and 2
