Photos and Description of this Lorca holiday villa Casa Oasis (bed and breakfast/holiday house/villa) in the South of Spain

Almendricos in the south of Murcia this is where you will find 'Casa Oasis' the old farmhouse, which dates from 1888, has been completely renovated in 2006 preserving many of the old features. 'Casa Oasis' has 10 bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. All rooms are different decorated in the real traditional Spanish style - some have high ceilings, some low, but all tastefully decorated. The breakfast room is especially beautiful; it is light and airy for a relaxing breakfast for the start of a perfect holiday. You can also watch a good movie or listen to nice music on our 42inch television with sound system. We have a large swimming pool with lots of sun beds and plenty of room on the terrace for relaxing and reading a good book or just taking in the amazing views on the mountains which surround us and take a drink at our swimming pool bar. Or play a game on our beach volleyball field or our petanque/jeu de boules field. Your car will be save on our big covered parking place.

The village is located in the Lorca valley which is known as the fruit basket of Spain in the crops grown in this valley are orange, lemon cherries, plums and pears also tomatoes and lettuce are in abundance. The flora and fauna are unique attracting many birds and butterflies a great place for ornithologist. Only 25 minutes drive from “Casa Oasis” are the beaches of San Juan de los Tereros safe bathing and a very attractive promenade lots of space and plenty of places for an inexpensive lunch. The golf lovers can find plenty of golf courses around the area. There is plenty of opportunity for the more adventurous to go mountain climbing; sailing; parasailing; quad biking or mountain biking. In Aquillas which is only a short drive there is scuba diving schools. We have mountain bikes to hire. Shopping; Museums; Historical buildings can all be found in the nearby town of Lorca. The city of Murcia has more to see and both can be reached by train.

The villa was one of the best places any of our group had ever been to. The owners were ever so friendly and fun, making sure we had a great holiday. The location was very quiet and fairly isolated, although that's what we were after with this holiday anyway, it's away from all the "English" tourist destinations of Spain. With a hire car though it's easy to get anywhere, we went as far as Granada which isnt to be missed and the local castle at Lorca. We also visited the nearby water park, beaches and jut abou anything else that took our fancy!

The property itself was very clean and well maintained, with towels changed midweek. The in villa bar was always very well stocked and extremely cheap. The pool never went below 19 degrees celcius at its absolute coldest. The owners were always willing to give advice no matter the time of day and would cook for us if we requested for a very reasonable price (three courses including drinks came to well under 20 Euros per person).

I would (and have) reccomend this property to any friend who was looking to find the real Spain and not the coastal hotels with its binge drinking and the like!

Overall its an excellent place which is unmissable providing you make sure you have a hire car booked (which the owners will do for you at cost price anyway).
