This 1st floor apartment has a well equipped kitchen including microwave and washing machine. There are patio doors leading from the lounge & main bedroom onto a large sun facing balcony. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes, The furnishings are to an exceptionally high standard & provide adequate living space for up to 6 people. The apartment also has secured underground parking and a play area. The apartment is ideally located, During the day visit the many beaches and bars of the Mar Menor and the La Manga strip, there are also many shopping centres and markets, all just a short drive away, as are Cartagena and Murcia.and the outstanding golf courses at La Manga club. In the evening, take a short stroll into the Town, and enjoy the many restaurants and tapas bars, or catch the train to Cartagena or Los Nietos beach

La Union, located to the east of Cartagena, named after an amalgamation of 4 smaller villages in 1850. The town's history is rooted in mining, & once a year, in August, choirs from the mining communities from all over Spain gather here to take part in a traditional fiesta. La Union has many fiestas throughout it's calendar some of which are a real spectacle and well worth a look, as are the many bars & restaurants. The local train service runs from Cartagena, stopping at La Union & ending at Los Nietos (beach) on the Mar Menor (inland sea) this forms part of the Mediterranean coastline known as the Costa Calida. It has no tides & is perfect for children to swim in. The apartment is within 15 minutes drive of La Manga Golf Resort, the Calbanque National Park & historic towns such as Los Belones & the City of Cartagena. The La Manga Golf Resort has extensive facilities including Golf, Horse-Riding, Swimming, Tennis, Cycling, Beauty & Spa Treatments & much more.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Full payment for the apartment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. A non - refundable deposit of 50% is required immediately to confirm the booking. A security deposit of 100 pounds/euros will be taken when you collect the keys and will be returned on your departure, less any costs relating to damage, loss etc should there be any. There will also be a cleaning charge of 65 euros payed locally on arrival.
    Booking dates are flexible and if you need a shorter or longer stay, this can be arranged subject to availability.

Very nice apartment with anything you need to have for a nice holiday. Fast respons to questions and nice contact with the owners. An apartment to recommend.
The apartment has a lift and there is also at the entrance a lift for getting in with an wheelchair. So also to recommend for elderly people.

Great base for La Manga an beyond

Great base for La Manga and beyond. The apartment is 5 minutes drive from the nearest beach and ten from La Manga. I could not fault the apartment. It was clean, well maintained and of better quality finish than some we have stayed at. Though there are train and bus links, I would advise a car to get the best out of your stay. Went most days to La Manga where you could always find a stretch of lovely beach to ourselves. The weekends were a different matter and we went to Bolneuvo among others to avoid the crowds. That said the area never approaches the sardine feeling of the busy periods of the Costa Del Sol or Costa Blanca. If you are looking for a relaxed beach holiday, with virtually guaranteed sun this is the place. If you are looking for nightlife, you will be looking elsewhere. Had a nice, but expensive meal at the Argentinian restaurant in La Manga. That said the Spanish style restaurant opposite looked better and half the price.La Union is a small working class town, with the old folks still sat outside at midnight. The internet cafe was very cheap for the web and bebidas. John and Maureen were very helpful. My wife left her glasses in the apartment and Maureen got them back to us quickly and safely, so the customer service pushed the apartment from good to excellent. Recommended and great value.
