The village of Roda is located 3.2 km from the nearest resort/beach of Los Narejos and 4 km from the nearest large town/resort of Los Alcazares. Los Alcazares is a tasteful traditional Spanish town where you will find many bars, restaurants as well as entertainment options and a fantastic sandy beach and awesome promenade. Opposite the apartment is a great new bar/restaurant 'Campbell's' and within 10-25 minutes walk from the apartment you will find numerous bars and restaurants some with seasonal entertainment. Los Alcazares/Los Narejos are located on the western shore of the Mar Menor which is a mineral rich salt water lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 km strip of land called La Manga. The waters are safe and shallow which is great for children and because of the effect of the lagoon, the water temperature is warmer than the Mediterranean. The area is well known for it's water sports and numerous golf courses many of which are of championship standard.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of £100 is required to secure booking and will become your damage deposit. This will be returned when the apartment keys have been returned. Full payment is required 6 weeks in advance of travel. Rates include the supply of linen and towels (not beach) electricity, and cleaning. Welcome packs available as well as airport pick-ups. Option to pay by cheque, electronic bank transfer or PayPal. Short breaks are possible. Prices negotiable for late bookings. Flexible chageover days.
    Short rentals of 4 nights and under will incur an additional cost of £65 to cover the cost of a room clean, however, only the number of nights booked will be charged i.e. if 4 nights are booked the cost is 4/7ths of the weekly charge.
  • Once we have received full payment from you, we will send you keys, precise details of how to locate the apartment as well as emergency contact numbers.

Notes: All bedrooms have built in wardrobes. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 but can sleep up to 8 if the lounge/diner pullout sofa bed is used. Duvets are available for all beds for the cooler winter period along with electric heating. Baby travel cot, child buggy, UK Satellite TV, set of right handed adult golf clubs/bag, safety deposit box are available at the apartment at no extra cost to the guest. The Satellite package includes sports channels, movie channels and children's channels etc. The apartment is tastefully furnished and well equipped throughout. Smoking is not permitted INSIDE the apartment.

Flights to Spain: Nearest airport to the apartment is Murcia (San Javier) which is 5 minute drive away. There are regular flights to Murcia from many airports including, East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Leeds-Bradford, Glasgow, Bristol and Southampton. Alternatively Alicante airport is approximately 60 minute drive away, most UK airports fly to Alicante. We can provide Airport hire car information upon request.

General information/food shops: There is a information folder located at the apartment providing further information on the surrounding area and places to visit etc. There are a small number of film DVD's/videos and music CD's in the apartment for guests to use. The apartment is very secure with bars protecting the windows and a security alarm fitted as well as an intercom system between the apartment and entry gate. The nearest large Supermarket 'Consum' is located 2 km from the apartment near the A37 main road however within 10 minutes walk from the apartment is a small shop on the De Vere golf course and 10 minutes walk in the opposite direction will take you to several small shops in the village of Dolores. Within 100 metres from the apartment are two children's parks with swings and slides etc.

Restaurants/bars: Opposite the apartment is a great new bar/restaurant 'Campbells,' and within 2 minutes walk, near the swimming pool is an established tapas bar 'Centro Civico' selling drinks, ice creams and tapas and snacks etc. and 10 minutes walk takes you to the village of Dolores where there are a several bars and restaurants, it is also 10 minutes walk to the classy De Vere restaurant at the nearby golf course. Campbell's restaurant and bar is open 1 - 4 pm for lunch and 6 - 11 pm for dinner, reservations may be needed for the restaurant, and the food is excellent. The bar is open 1 pm - late with entertainment on a Friday. The bar is furthest from the apartment therefore there is no noise from the bar. Around 20 minutes walk will take you to the Oasis and Rio Nalon areas where you will find numerous bars and restaurants some with seasonal entertainment. If it's dancing late into the night that you want why not visit the 'Boogie Bar' which can be found just before the Rio Nalon Strip.

Golf: Details of the new 18 hole Golf course at Roda, located close to the apartment, are available upon request. Los Alcazares is a superb location for golfing holidays. There are many championship courses within 20 minutes drive including La Manga, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas to name but a few. There is a second new 18 hole course which has opened in Los Alcazares at La Serena. As mentioned before there is a set of mens right hand golf clubs located in the apartment, available to be used free of charge to the renter, golf equipment can often be hired at the golf courses or at nearby golf shops. All of the courses are absolutely superb, a real treat for golf enthusiasts of all abilities!

We chose this property after we contacted the owners and found them helpful and friendly. The apartment was as described in the information and pictures. Recommended as clean, comfortable and secure.

The taxi from the airport was only 11 euros. We did not require a car and found the local facilities walkable, However if sightseeing would need a car. Would use again.

Relaxing with mates in May

Fantastic few days spent relaxing on the local beaches (clean and tidy), and frequenting the local bars and restaurants (lively and excellent food). Apartment is in ideal location directly opposite an excellent restaurant with friendly and quiet bar, and within walking distance of the local town and facilities.

Thoroughly enjoyable place to relax and get away from it all.

Great experience.....again!!

Stayed here 4 times now and it really is a gem. Great value. Although the apartment is situated a little out of the way it is close enough to any facilities for this not to matter and provides a quiet environment for families. The appartment is very roomy with 3 good size bedrooms with 6 beds, a pull-out sofa-bed, spacious living and kitchen area and 2 bathrooms. It is also situated very close to the magnificent Roda golf club (10 mins walk to the club house) and so it is ideal for either a family holiday or a golfing break.

The beach is fantastic for families as the Mar Menor does not go above waist height for at least 50 yards. The locals are friendly and there are numerous restaurants just a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk away. It really has everything.

The apartment owners, Phil and Carol could not be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

I certainly plan to go back for a 5th visit!!

Wonderful Break in Roda

We travelled to Murcia to catch a little late summer sunshine. We flew into San Javier airport, it was only a 5 minute drive from the airport to the apartment. Carole (the owner) was very helpful with arranging the break, when we arrived at the apartment we found it to be spotless with many home from home comforts such as satellite TV. It was just a few minutes walk to the lovely pool. There are many places to eat in the area, the main eating area 'Rio Nalon' is about a 20 minute walk, but there are a few other places to eat closer to the apartment. The quaint Roda Church is opposite the apartment surrounded by palm trees. We explored some of the local beaches which were beautiful, clean and uncrowded. All in all it was a great break, lovely location and spacious apartment. We hired a car to get around which was quite inexpensive but I guess you could manage without a car if your willing to walk quite a bit or use a taxi. We would certainly go back again.
