This modern apartment within a secured complex, boasts a large living room complete with air-con / heating, Sky TV / DVD / CD player and a selection of CD's DVD’s, books & magazines. It includes 2 large sofas and a dining table that extends to seat 6. The separate kitchen is fully equipped and leads out onto a separate rear patio area. The spacious master bedroom features a double bed and the second features 2 single beds, both rooms contain large fitted wardrobes with additional clothes compartments, bed side units, ceiling fans and large mirror. A safe, iron & board and hairdryer is also provided. The living room leads out onto a large south facing terrace complete with a BBQ, 4 sun loungers, a patio table, parasol and chairs. The apartment is close to an array of bars, restaurants and supermarkets and just over 5 minutes to the beach. There are numerous golf courses within a 15 minute drive.

Los Alcazares is a typical Spanish town located on the shores of the Mar Menor. It boasts a beautiful blue flag beach and an attractive 7k promenade dotted with numerous beach front bars. For families with small children the clean sandy beach is very safe, with shallow water and little tide. It offers a wide choice of activities including water sports, boat trips, go karts and cycle hire. For the golf enthusiast it is within a short drive of 7 excellent golf courses, 4 of them of international standard. It holds two weekly markets and several annual festivals. Los Alcazares is within easy access of Murcia City an historic Moorish city, famous for it’s architecture and history as well as it’s excellent shops, bars, restaurants and theatres; and Cartagena renowned for It’s beautiful bay and harbour side fish restaurants is a 15 minute drive away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of £50 is required on booking, with the remainder payable 8 weeks before your holiday. A £100 refundable bond is required with final payment for damage, loss of keys etc, which will be refunded within 2 weeks on agent’s confirmation and return of keys. Prices are fully inclusive of all linen & towels (bring your own beach towels), electricity, air conditioning, cleaning, & personal meet/greet service. A welcome pack of essential groceries can be provided upon request for a charge of £10. A taxi service to and from the airport can be arranged for a total cost of 25€ (payable locally).
  • Changeover day is Saturday, however, this is flexible depending on availability. Property is available from 5pm on day of arrival and we require you to vacate by 11am on day of departure unless prior arrangements have been made. Negotiable rates for longer lets in quiet periods, please contact owner for details.
  • A travel cot and high chair are also available at no extra cost.

Getting There: Fly to Murcia (San Javier) from the following airports: Manchester, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Liverpool, Cardiff, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford, Birmingham, Southampton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick, Shannon, Dublin, Guernsey & Kent. Murcia airport is 10 minutes away. Most other airlines fly into Alicante which is only 45 minutes drive away.

Markets & Festivals: Los Alcazares holds two weekly street markets, selling various products such as clothing and fresh food. It is an excellent way to meet and interact with the local Spanish community. It also hosts several festivals, including the international celebration of La Huerta. Throughout the last two weeks in August, groups representing market garden areas throughout Spain and other European countries gather to display their folklore, handicrafts and prepare gastronomic feasts from their local produce. Since 2000 the last three days in March has seen Los Alcazares take on a medieval flavour with a large medieval market and numerous events in recollection of the times of peace following the creation of effective defences against invasions of Barbary pirates during the 15th century. The town was afforded municipal autonomy on 13 October 1983. In celebration of this, each October the town puts on a week-long outdoor party featuring live music, shows and spectacular firework displays.

Visitors Comments: - Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our holiday. The apartment was excellent, a real home from home & we also enjoyed the area, finding plenty to do. Some of your suggestions for eating out were really good, especially the tapas. We are definitely planning on returning at some point (Michelle Nov 05). - Your apartment was lovely & everything was just perfect for our stay. Patio BRILLIANT. Sandra was a great help to us ferrying us to & from the airport so a big thank you extends to her too. The bars & restaurants were all handy & every one we tried was very good, we shall definitely return again & I will personally recommend your apartment in the future. Our holiday was everything we were hoping it would be (Cheryl Dec 05). - Charlie & I enjoyed our holiday very much & the apartment was great. Golf: La Manga Club is just a short drive away housing 3 championship golf courses with a .sport and health centre. There are several more golf courses in the area including Torre Pacheco, VillaMartin, Alta Real, Campoamor, La Finca & La Marquesa.

We stayed here in Sep 2009 & thoroughly enjoyed our week with our 10 year old Grandaughter. The apartment was bright & clean and there was nothing we could think off that would have improved our stay.
The local area is great & the nearby beaches are clean & safe for small children.
In addition allthough the Airport is close we did not find this a distraction as the Planes are not too frequent. Very hand for this apartment as it is only a ten minute drive.
We would definately stay here again if holidaying in this part of spain.

This is a very good apartment; well equipped and close to all the amenities of the town. The complex is lovely and well maintained. Lots of shrubs and flowers and a lifeguard at the pool all day. Pool area very nice and clean. Beach is about 10 to 15 mins walk away. Bus stop nearby also. Very hot when we were there in July. Restaurants nearby are mainly English and Asian, rather than Spanish.
Beach area lovely in the evening for a walk,drink or swim.

Xmas Holiday in Los Alcazares

My partner & I stayed at his apartment for Xmas. We found it to be spotless and had everything that you would need. It is positioned in an excellent complex and close to all shops, resturaunts and bars. We would definetly go back again. Many thanks to Mary and also Graeme for collecting and returning us to the airport.

Great location

One of the advantages to this property is how close it is to Murcia ( San javier) airport, just ten minutes in a taxi/car.

The apartment is well kept , a little bit small for six but fine for four , there is a good pool but it can get busy. It's got good air conditioning in the lounge.The beach nearby ( about ten minutes walk ) is beautiful and it is very close to excellent supermarkets and a range of very good restaurants. There is a very good weekly market in town which should not be missed. If you have a car then you can tour along the coast and go to the waterparks or inland to Murcia. Recommended for a weekly break.

Ideal Holiday

We have been to this apartment a few times over the past couple of years and are returning shortly. The apartment is well furnished and bright. The location is fantastic for all amenities and just a short walk will take you to the restaraunts, cafes and bars in the local square. The beach is nearby and is lovely and clean.
If you prefer to sunbathe at the apartment the front patio is a suntrap with the sun for most of the day and the pool is literally just round the corner from the apartment and has a seating area beside it. The resort is a lovely relaxing place to be and we look forward to returning in the years to come.
We would recommend this apartment as suitable for everyone and highly recommend it.
