Luxuary 3 bedroom apartment complete with hot and cold air conditioning throughout. This ground floor apartment comes with private terrace and garden, with access to 2 swimming pools, which have separate pools for small children. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and patio doors leading onto the terrace. The remaining 2 bedrooms are both twins. All bedrooms come with fitted wardrobes. The kitchen comes complete with oven/hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. The dining area has a large dining table that comfortably seats six people. In the living area there is an L shaped couch which can fold down into a double bed if required. There is satellite television & DVD player. There are patio doors leading from the living area onto the terrace and garden. The Puerto Marina development is situated at the top of the newly developed pedestrianized plaza, where you will discover local cafe-bars, restaurants and supermarkets

Los Alcazares is a lovely Spanish town situated on the Mar Menor (little Sea) on the south east coast of Spain. In the old town at the harbour there are many bars, cafes & restaurants where you can sample the local cuisine. The water here is very calm and shallow, it is also 5 degree's warmer than the Mediterranean Sea all year round. There are 7km of coast line with blue flag award winning beaches. The lagoon is 22km long by 7km wide. The promenade is lined with palm trees and cherenguito's (Spanish bars serving drinks & tapas) providing a place to stop off for a refreshment as you sit and look across the panoramic lagoon to the La Manga strip on the other side. The climate here is one of the best in Spain with 320 days of sunshine each year. The mineral rich water here in the Mar Menor is known for its health giving properties, and is listed by the world health organisation as one of the healthiest places on earth. There is also a wealth of local history waiting to be discovered.

    A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure a booking. Payment to be made in full, 6 weeks prior to arrival. A security bond of £150 is required, this will be returned when all keys are handed back and apartment checked. Guests are required to vacate the property by midday unless otherwise agreed. The apartment will be cleaned prior to your arrival and on your departure. Bed linen and towels are also provided, but not beach towels.

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at this apartment during the 1st week of June 2008. The location was very convenient for the airport and the local flight traffic didn't disturb us (I think they only fly during the day). The apartment itself is spacious, very well appointed and had everything that we needed - it was exactly as described in the advertisement. Of particular note were the 3 good sized bedrooms and the large patio area which benefits from the sun all day long.
The apartment is immaculately kept and obviously very new (I believe that it is on the 2nd of a 3-phased development) - although whilst phase 3 was in progress there were no noise problems at all.
The owner was very good as far as communication etc goes and the whole transaction was very smooth, including extras such as the airport transfers that we requested.
The complex was very quiet when we visited and at times, we almost had the 2 large swimming pools to ourselves. Los Alcazares itself is fairly quiet - there are plenty of restaurants etc but not much in the way of night life.
The local beach was about 10 minutes walk away but very nice and benefitted from a very long and well cared for promenade. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

This holiday apartment is everything the description says it is. Fresh, clean and very well equiped with three good size bedrooms. The garden/patio is sunny all day long and well kitted with loungers & deck chairs. Being on the ground floor makes it even better as you are in full view of the pool etc., and for getting drinks/food as you require. We first stayed in September 2008 and again in July 2009. A superb complex with pools (which do not get over crowded) for relaxing and enjoying the sun. Supermarkets are within walking distance and well stocked. The main centre has plenty of restaurants & bars for all tastes. No hills to trek & really nice promenade. The owners will arrange almost anything to ensure your stay is a memorable one.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

11 night stay may/june 2009

Appartment, complex and pools as described in the description. Very clean, well maintained, luxurious and spacious.

Transfers to/from the airport were on time and gave us some helpful information. One of our party lost a wallet and the lady in Spain who manages the property and transfers was very helpful.

A car would be useful for visiting tourist attractions but there is a regular bus service available.

A good selection of quality restaurants and bars is within 5mins walk catering for most tastes. The cost of eating out was similar to UK, maybe 10% cheaper, however the exchange rate is pretty poor at the minutes for brits travelling to europe.

3 large supermarkets within easy walking distance.

Weather was generally excellent. Overcast for a couple of hours on most mornings, rained twice for about 10 mins.

Swimming in the Mar Menor was like getting into a bath, the warmest sea I've ever been in. Excellent for kids and non swimmers as its knee/waist deep for the first 20 metres or so.

This apartment was extremely nice. Very clean, modern and plenty of room for the five of us. It was nice to have a ground floor apartment so much easier to get in and out of for snacks and drinks through the daytime. A 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants. A a fair on a night time to keep the children happy. Would definately go back to this apartment but would probably hire a car next time to visit other places, as we found it very hard to get information on bus services which seemed to be quite a walk away so we could go to water park etc. Many Thanks to Stuart for making this an easy and straight forward holiday to book and to Debbie at the resort.

perfect holiday retreat

Our family stayed here during August 08. the apartment is immaculate throughout and is very well equipt. From the collection at the airport and all through the week, we found the whole experience throughly relaxing. The beach and promanade are perfect for a stoll. We had our 3 daughters (14-11) with us who really enjoyed the close proximity of the pools (approx 10 foot steps away). The complex is very clean and safe for children of all ages and the pools were never over crowded.
The apartment benefits from a garden that always has sun and shade, something for everyone.
The town area of shops and bars etc. is only a short walk away with a very good variety of eating houses with various prices. Ell Patio is a must, don't be put off by the exterior the food and ambiance is first class. The supermarkets are very well priced with a very good selection of english brands if you're not very adventurous with your food.
We travelled out on the local buses which were very cheap and air conditioned! Although you don't NEED a car, if you are a little adventurous a car would be of benefit as there is so much to see around and about.
We would firmly recommend this apartment and area of Spain to our friends and family, we will certainly be making a trip back.
