Fab Family Villa on the Mar Menor Golf resort Murcia

In a very secure (24hr on-site security and gated), private and exclusive holiday location right on a 9 hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas(soon to be 18). The villa is located close to Los Narejos beach (5 minutes by car), this beach has been one of only five Spanish beaches to be awarded the Q mark for quality. The villa is new and has been designed to cater for all your needs, we have a 6 x3 swimming pool in the garden. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and has all anyone would need for a perfect holiday break, including Sky TV. The kitchen is well appointed with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Both bedrooms have a/c and very ample wardrobes. The living room has large patio doors to the front and rear allowing lots of sunlight, with electric shutters. There is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The villa has two terraces, perfect for peace and quiet. The Mar Menor slopes gently and is warmer than the med. This makes it ideal for kids.

Los Alcazaresin the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain, also known as the Costa Calida. The town is on the western shore of the Mar Menor, the largest saltwater lagoon in Europe is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 10 Mile long strip of land called 'La Manga'(Sleeve). The area enjoys an average of 322 days of sunshine each year. Cafes,Bars and restaurants serve drinks, tapas, meals and a wide variety of entertainment, and the warm water of the Mar Menor helps make the town a ideal location for swimmers and watersports fans. The rich mineral water of the Mar Menor is famous for its health-giving properties and the town still has thermal baths which have existed since Roman times. The fertile countryside (la huerta) inland supplies the local markets with fresh produce which is also exported to northern Europe, especially during the winter when local farmers take advantage of the comparatively warm weather.

  • The main bedroom has a very comfortable double bed (no slipping through the gaps parents)! There is a a/c unit too and fan, so you can choose your own preference for cooling down. There is a flat screen on the wall, with all the major channels with ample cupboard and hanging space. The second bedroom has two comfortable single beds, with a/c and a fan again. Both rooms have shutters, allowing for total darkness. There is also a travel cot in the villa.

Polarisworld Golf Resort

This is the first of four golf resorts that Polaris World built. It now has a 5 Star Hotel which will service the Villas if required, and a huge range of on-site services to ensure that your stay is pleasurable and memorable but hassle free. La Torre is now completed, where there is reciprocal membership of that Resort and their golf courses. You can also, enjoy the golf at Campoamor, Villamartin, Las Ramblas and La Manga Club to name but a few. The Mar Menor Golf Resort is 9 hole and a pleasure to play. The club house has a great communal pool and one for toddlers.There is a bar and restaurant that also does food at lunchtime. There is a great bar on the first floor too for evenings, with live music (not every day) open till 2.00. The supermarket in on-site and has all you need for the holiday and is reasonably priced.

Value for Money

Compared to other villa's for rent on the La Manga complex, this offers very good value for money, saving 40% in some cases. With La manga only a short drive away, and with it's 3 golf courses, state of the art tennis complex, casino and fine restaurants (all open to non-residents), this is a cost-effective alternative place to stay, but with no compromise in the standard of the accommodation. The gently sloping shallow waters of the Mar Menor mean that it is warmer than the Mediterranean, this makes it safer for young children as it is very placid and there is very good visibility across the water.You can walk out for many meters with the warm water still only lapping your thighs and with no big waves or strong currents relax and enjoy your day at the beach. With plenty of cafes and bars dotted along the beach it's a great way to spend the day and soak up the sun.

Fly to Murcia from

It's even easier to get to Murcia airport now from the UK. There are loads of low cost carriers flying from the UK, with the Resort only a short drive away you won't waste time in a car. Fly to Murcia (aka San Javier) from the following airports: Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Southampton and Glasgow etc

Golf Information:

Golf Information: Polaris World currently have 2 Jack Nicklaus courses open and another 2 will be open later this year with more to follow over the next few years creating the unique Nicklaus Trail. The 18-hole course at La Torre and the 9-hole at Mar Menor are both beautiful courses and you'd never know that both courses are so new. As a Polaris resident or guest you get to experience the facilities of all resorts and also get to play all of the courses. Exceptional deals are available to allow you to take full advantage of some superb golf. The amenities in the amazing golf club are superb. La Torre offers a challenging course with plenty of water difficulties and long wide bunkers too. Apart from the Nicklaus Trail, there are plenty of other outstanding courses close by for you to enjoy too; La Manga, Los Rambles, Finca Park, Roda Golf, Hacienda del Alamo to name but a few. Golf on Polaris resorts is around 50 to 65 Euros per round with club hire from 15 euros per set. Polaris do have good deals including lunch or dinner at times which makes it even cheaper.
