Established 3 bed house on secure, gated complex. Overlooking large communal pool with children’s pool area. Poolside bar serving food & drinks during peak season. Suitable for families and couples. Patios to front and rear of property. Fully equipped property to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. Located in a traditional town with beaches, shops and a large selection of restaurants within 5-10 min walk. There are horse riding stables and bicycle hire facilities available in the town. Deep sea fishing & boat trips are available locally, advance booking is recommended for the summer months. Near to the local Sunday market and also the evening markets and funfair which run in peak season. Only 40 min drive to the water park & zoo in nearby Murcia. Close to various golf courses, La Manga 45mins away. Near to the Sierra Espuna national park & many historical towns. We can recommend car hire & taxi services to & from all airports. There is a taxi rank 5min walk from house

Puerto de Mazarron in Murcia-Costa Cailda,Spain: A modern 3 bed house on a private, gated complex in an established area. There is a large communal pool and poolside bar. A choice of two nearby beaches,only 10 mins walk to the large main beach and 5 mins to a smaller, quieter beach. There are also other beautiful beaches within easy reach..A 5 mins walk to the restaurants, shops and marina, also nearby is the large Sunday market. A street market and funfair run each evening during peak season.This area is a traditional Spanish resort and not a package holiday destination, a chance for you to sample the real Spain. A resort suitable for young and old, particularly families. In this region there are a number of golf courses within easy reach. Horse riding and bicycle hire also nearby. A good choice of airports all of which are easily accessible via the motorway and serviced by the budget airlines. Mucia airport approx 45 mins drive , Alicante airport approx 90mins,Almeria 120mins

There are two patios, one overlooking the pool and the other larger private patio leading off the kitchen.Patio table and chairs and sun lounger’s supplied. Bed linen, towels and beach towels supplied. Hair-dryers supplied. The complex is gated and very secure, with large communal pool, part of which is sectioned off for small children. The poolside bar serves drinks, snacks and meals during peak season.The complex is busy & lively during July & August Welcome breakfast packs can be arranged as can airport pick ups. The area is quiet for most of the year but gets busier in July and August when the Spanish holiday there.

July & August: The complex and resort are very busy & lively between July and August,during the remainder of the year it is quieter but there are still plenty of restaurants,etc available as it is a working port. During July & August the complex respects the tradition of 'siesta' with no one allowed in the pool between 3-5pm.This is a good time to visit the local beaches as it will be quieter. May 2009-Please note that the pool bar is currently up for sale & we cannot guarantee that it will be open during the summer period

just spent a lovely week at the apartment may 2009. the weather was superb and the house caters for everything you could possibly want. even a cool box for the beach. we were 4 adults and a curious 1 year old who liked to "escape" but the spanish neighbors were lovely with him. the pool and grounds are exellently maintained and spotless at all times. yes the spanish are a bit loud but only in the day or early evening, and just having family fun. the new marina is very nice with some fabulous boats. eating out is never a problem as nowadays you can get ever.y kind of food. previously our daughter struggled as she is vegan but even she found plenty to eat. we non veggies especially like don ricardos and the chinese "all you can eat" are very good value.. we hired a car and went to the espunas and la santa which makes a change from the beach and also had a day in la manga. my husband and i do know the area as we lived quite close to the port but this is our first visit back since we left two years ago.been a few changes, but nothing drastic. wonder why we left?!! there are plenty of places within very easy reach, to visit with good roads. a car isn,t essential if you just want a relaxing beach holiday but there are so many interesting sights you miss without one. finally a big thanks to mike who got on his bike to come and meet us and was very friendly and made everything simple. we were able to keep the house untill late afternoon before leaving for the airport which was brill with a small child.

we picked this because of the pool for our 2 kids 18mths and 3years. it was perfect for us as we could take a dip any time we liked (except during siesta which we also observed !) and the whole complex is secure and well looked after. we thought the house was great, spacious for us 4 and well equipped and clean. we loved the resort also as it was not so busy when we were there and plently of places to eat of an evening. you don't need a car although its handy to have to see the local area and drive up to the guns ( a great tip from mick thanks !) or any of the other sights nearby. all and all we had a relaxing comfortable stay

Our first visit, end of July 08 and the party consisted of 2 adults and 4 children aged 15, 13, 10 and 1 infant.  Very well equiped for families with young children.  Accomodation was as it says 'on the tin'.  Found the owner to be reliable and was flexible with leaving times which helped us with late flights.  The guarded pool was lovely and well designed from a safety point of view.  There were some other families from the UK during our second week and it was nice for the children to make friends.  We did find the Spanish residents within the complex to be lively at times, but we were entering their holiday season.  We walked down to the recently re-developed marina most nights and found some nice eateries and bars overlooking the sea/marina.  Car hire isn't necessary if you're happy to stay within walking distance of the accomodation.
