The Villa:
Has a salt system pool (so no green hair!) At night the subtle and attractive pool lights can be turned on. There are 2 tiled patios adjacent to the pool, with luscious palm trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea and other tropical plants to create private and peaceful suntraps. There are 2 large terraces – the 3 first floor bedrooms lead onto a large fully enclosed terrace; on the raised ground floor the terrace is outside the sitting room and kitchen, just above the pool, and has a large table and 8 chairs. The panoramic views from both terraces are superb – over the Mar Menor towards the setting sun. The lower terrace is our ‘g & t’ terrace!
Travel and car hire.:
Although Murcia airport is less than half an hour from the villa, many more flights come into Alicante airport – this is only one hours drive along an excellent autoroute. Car hire from the airport is recommended, but taxis can be arranged. Bicycle hire is available locally. Please note that we normally expect our agent to accompany you to the villa, to ensure that you are happy with the everything in the villa, to give your holiday a really good start.
The Area:
Is relaxing, and yet there is plenty to do, in particular the many water sports - sailing and scuba diving is superb. The world famous La Manga Club has plenty to offer during the day and evening – additional golf clubs are located further away. The Mar Menor salt water inland sea is warm and shallow, and has boat trips out to the islands and along the nearby rugged coast. The area enjoys on average 320 days of sun each year. Daily markets are held at different locations in the area.
