The large, brand new villa is set around 5,500 sq mts of land together with a 25ft private swimming pool. There is a lovely out-door kitchen with barbeque to cook your favourite meals. Around 85 sq mts of outdoor terrace space, together with patio furniture & sunloungers to enjoy the views and glorious weather. Private parking for many cars together with a double garage. The brand new luxury villa is located in a beautiful countryside setting and surrounded by breath-taking views. The villa itself is set within a large apricot orchard together with olive trees. A short walk away you will find the peaceful lakes that provide picnic areas, endless walks, and fishing. Centrally located between two villages; Canara & Valetin, village shops provide bread, and local produce. The larger town of Cehegin is only a 10 minute drive away (or approximately 15 euros for a taxi) where you will find many bars, restaurants, shops, banks, and nightclubs (if desired!). The main industry of Cehegin in the past was shoemaking and avid shoe purchasers of the present will not be disappointed by the number of shoe shops currently in the town as well as bags, jewellery, clothes and unusual goods. Only a 50 minute drive to a choice of two beaches; Aquilles, and Mazzoron both are stunning and based around typically Spanish towns providing restaurants, bars and shops.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices are based for up to 6 people; additional persons up to a maximum of 8 will incur an additional charge of 75.00 per person, per week. Contact us for more information, we will be happy to send a colour brochure, booking form and information in order to confirm your holiday requirements. Discounts available for long winter lets (price is based on number sharing) - please ask for details. Nightly rentals available from £100.00 per night, minimum of 2 nights (maximum of 4 persons + additional charge applies for additional persons) + £60.00 for cleaning, towels, bed linen and pool cleansing.
  • A breakage/key deposit of £200.00 or 300.00 euros is payable with final balance. When keys and no breakages have been reported, a full refund with be given.
    Guests who prefer to pay in euros, the exchange rate will be for each pound sterling = 1.50 euros.
  • Cleaning is provided on arrival and departure days. A maid service can be arranged at an additional cost of £40.00 per clean. Towels and bed linen are provided (not beach towels). Food packs, taxis and car hire can be arranged to ensure your holiday goes smoothly, please ask for details.
    Arrival times are 16.00 and guests are to vacate by 10.30 am. We can sometimes accommodate guests for longer, this will depend on new guests arrival/departure, cleaning arrangements and attracts an additional charge.

Golf Holidays: The beautiful house is only 40 minutes drive away from the famous La Manga Golf Club. If you want to have fantastic accommodation (at a reasonable price), able to play golf, and keep all the family happy - this is an ideal place and location for all! A golf course based at the the local town of Callesparra is due to be completed shortly. The villa is only based 30 minutes away from Polaris Village where the famous JACK NICKLAUS golf development is currently being constructed.

Airports: San Javier (Murcia) is only a 45 minute drive away, is a very easy and scenic drive to the villa. Alicante is slightly more and is approximately 1 hour 20 minute drive away, again a easy, pleasant drive. A new airport is scheduled to open late 2009 at Corvera which will only be 30 minutes drive away!

Golf: The beautiful villa is only 40 minutes drive away from the famous La Manga Golf Club. If you want to have fantastic accommodation (at a reasonable price), able to play golf, and keep all the family happy - this is an ideal place and location for all! I would like to recommend the location of this villa. It is ideal for relaxing, and tranquil holidays. The views are breathtaking and the villa is surrounded by mountains. The villa was exceptionally clean and the furniture was of a high standard. The swimming pool is large and well maintained and a good supply of garden furniture and sun loungers are provided. Dawn was very helpful and made the booking process very easy. I would definately recommend the villa and will be booking for two weeks next year. The local town of Cehegin is only ten minutes drive away, where there's a good choice of restaurants, bars and evening entertainment.

Be Warned!!!

We had a very pleasant week at this villa but have had a terrible experience getting our deposit for £200 for breakages etc returned.
You are expected to pay for the wear and tear of the villa which we found unacceptable. The shower hose in the ensuite bathroom started to leak the day after we arrived and we were accused of breaking it which was untrue. The owner retained £40.00 from our deposit because she accused us of breaking the shower hose which was a total fabrication on her part. We have been trying unsuccessfully to get the £40.00 which is due to us returned but she has now decided to ignore our letters and emails.
Also, there are loads of rules and regulations which you must adhere to some of which were totally over the top. It made it very difficult to relax especially as we had two young children with us. We had already paid the rental for the week and expected any wear and tear for the villa to be covered by this.
We have had numerous villa holidays over the years but to date have not met an owner like this woman.
We would not recommend this villa if you want a carefree holiday and do not want to pay for the wear and tear of this villa.

The villa was located in a lovely part of spain with mountains and pine trees. The villa was ideal and was much better than expected, it was very well equipped with a real home from home feel. The house was exceptionally clean and everything was maintained to a high standard. Dawn was very helpful and arranged for food supplies ready for our arrival, the keys, directions were posted in plenty of time and were very easy to follow. I have recommended the villa to all and have booked again for next year. The main town of cehegin is not too far away and has a real spanish feel, and more like the old spain. We enjoyed every moment of the holiday and had fantastic weather everyday.

We loved the villa. It was just as described on your website, very clean and tidy with lovely furniture. We enjoyed just lazing by the pool, it was very peaceful, just what we wanted. We loved cooking on the wood barbeque, which we used every day!
Dawn was very helpful and that helped us plan our holiday with no problems at all.
We love that part of Spain and have visited it often and La Casa Roja was probably the best villa we have holidayed in so far.

The villa is of very high standard and wouldn't hesitate recommending to friends & family. The location is very rural and a lovely part of spain. The villa is well set out, and ideal for families and disabled. The house and pool is exceptionally clean and cannot find fault with anything. Dawn is a very helpful person and provided very good information and travelling instructions, we had no problems whatsoever and had a relaxing and most enjoyable holiday. The local town of Cehegin is only a few kilometres away, and there are many different shops dotted around, together with a well-known spanish supermarket. There's different places to visit and restaurants therefore a car is essential. We have children and they loved the good sized pool and having it all to themselves. We are booking for next year as this is the best villa we have stayed in - thanks.
