The villa is on the prestigious Polaris World Mar Menor Golf Resort (as advertised on TV). This brand new complex is the first of the planned Polaris World resorts. It benefits from 24 hour security, making it a safe and peaceful location. The villa has a private pool and lovely sun terrace. It is furnished to a very high standard with cable TV with Sky and UK programmes. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine,dishwasher, coffee maker, additional drinks fridge on the patio and much more. The resort Social Club has excellent facilities. There is a large communal pool with separate kiddies pool, poolside bar and cafe(which will do villa delivery), restaurant, medical centre with massage/reflexology available, hairdressers, gym, bar with live music on set evenings, mini supermarket and cash machine. There is a also a 5 star Intercontinental hotel and Spa which has additional bars and restaurants.

The resort is located close to the town of Torre Pacheco, in the region of Murcia, on the South east coast of Spain. The historic capital city of Murcia is a 30 minute drive inland. The famous Mar Menor coastal lagoon is a short five minute drive and offers extensive water sports facilities or the opportunity to lay on the many miles of glorious beaches and soak up the Sun. Access to the main motorway is also close by and is ideal for exploring the area and sampling the culture and food of this relatively unspoilt area of Spain. If you like the hustle of local markets there is one on every day of the week in one of the local towns. With the major airports of Alicante, a 50 minutes drive, and Murcia San Javier a mere 10 minutes drive there is an abundance of cheap flights available from the majority of UK airports.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A £100 deposit is required at time of booking, this also acts as breakage deposit and will be paid directly into the clients bank account within 14 days after the end of the rental period. The total rental amount is required to be paid 6 weeks before commencement of the holiday. The Rental rates are for a maximum of four people. Longer term rentals are negotiable. Entry day can be agreed. The daily rates are intended to be a guide price, please contact owner to confirm rates. A welcome pack, mid stay clean and airport pick up can be arranged at extra cost, please requests details of all additional services.
  • The property has air conditioning in the lounge only. Due to recent utilities increasing we make a small weekly charge of £25 if you require this service. The bedrooms have excellent ceiling fans that we find are adequate even in summer months.

Additional Information.: The villa is professionally cleaned and all linen and towels are laundered at the end of rental periods, and the villa will be refreshed before the start of your holiday. There is additional bed linen in the villa. Bath towels and hand towels are supplied, but beach towels are not supplied. We request that you do not use the towels for the beach.

Golf Information.: The resort has a Dave Thomas/Jack Nicklaus designed 9 hole golf course, soon to become 18 holes. The course is gaining an acclaimed reputation in the area. As a resident of a Polaris World resort you are also entitled to play on the other resort courses that are being opened nearby. There is also many renowned courses nearby such as La Manga and Villa Martin resorts. Please request more information on golfing activities from the advertiser.

Our stay in August 2008 was exactly as we'd expected. The Villa was lovely with all home comforts and the pool was beyond our expectations. The complex provided excellent facilities for a breakaway from the villa. The communal pool was not too busy and there is a variety of places to eat and drink. The supermarket catered for everything you could possibly need.
Being able to BBQ was a bonus which meant we quite often never left the villa.
A car is essential for getting out and about but wasn't a priority as we'd book this holiday for total relaxation, which we achieved by having a car for the first 5 days allowing us to get out and about to some great beaches and to dine out occassionally.
We would definately recommend and hope to revisit.

We had a great holiday while staying in this superbly equipped villa. Everything you will need is here plus more. Perfect location, lovely private pool and roof terrace. Well equipped & clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Couldn't stop picking the lemons for that evening G&T! Plenty to see with a car, roads quiet, lovely drive through La Manga & onto Mar Menor strip. The complex is excellent, on-site shop very good, communal pool excellent and the bar was warm & relaxing(all 5mins walk). Intend to go back every year.

We had a fantastic holiday staying at this lovely villa. Not far from the resort centre, it was fantastically well equipt. Quiet area but for our family of 4 it was just what we wanted and needed. % minute drive to the beach but the pool was brilliant fot the children. Car useful to explore the area.
