Jasmin cottage provides private and spacious self-catering holiday accommodation in Orgiva, 55 minutes from Granada and the Alhambra Palace, an hour from the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort and 30 minutes from the Mediterranean coast. The stone cottage is privately situated within the beautifully landscaped gardens of a large traditional cortijo with swimming pool and provides an easily accessed base from which to explore Las Alpujarras, Granada and the coast. Sleeping a maximum of three people the quality self-catering accommodation is an excellent location for walking, golf, horse riding, tennis, mountain biking, birdwatching, skiing and other outdoor pursuits, or just relaxing in quiet privacy within a peaceful setting. Bed & Breakfast for four extra people, perhaps extended family or friends, is also available in the farmhouse. In the summer months this is only for extra guests of those renting the cottage. The swimming pool is used solely by the occupants of the cottage and their guests.

There is half glass paned door opening onto the patio. The bedroom has a good sized wardrobe and electric blankets are provided in winter. There is an easily transformed sofa bed in the lounge.

Notes: Regrettably, no children under the age of twelve. The cottage has wide doorways which provide good access for wheelchairs. The lounge, bedroom and patio are at a lower level from the kitchen and bathroom: three steps. Ideal for the elderly as there are so many quiet areas to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and the magnificent views.

Golf: Telephone and Fax number: ++34 958 584 436 The Granada Golf Club is a magnificent 18-hole course just 45 minutes car journey from Buenavista. Described as testing and undulating it has an extremely varied layout and is in a beautiful location on the lee side of the Sierra Nevada.  It is a well maintained course with the most spectacular views.  The facilities include an excellent practice course, putting and chipping greens, bunkers, paddle-tennis and tennis courts, as well as a swimming pool.  The club house has everything the golfer could ask for and the restaurant serves a wide variety of the best Mediterranean dishes, including local Granada delicacies.  Its outdoor terraces provide wonderful views of the Granada plain and the Sierra Nevada.  Buggies are available and it is also possible to hire golf clubs.  The current fee is 36 Euros.  Las Gabias has 406 members all of whom are Spanish speaking.

Tennis: The tennis court is just 3 kilometres down the road from Buenavista. The court was constructed by the American Company, Tennislife, and it has six layers of cushion floor.  It is the same as those used by all professional clubs around the world and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario gives it her personal seal of approval. The specially sprung surface makes it easy on the joints! The owner is happy to allow people to use the court, but asks for a donation towards the costs of 10 Euros per hour

Just back from a wonderfully relaxing15 days at Jasmine Cottage, near Orgiva. It is ideally placed for visiting Granada, Costa Tropical, Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras. Just 2 km from Orgiva which has all facilities for supermarkets, banks etc.
The cottage is well presented and the location provides superb views of the mountains and valleys. The gardens are beatifully laid out and you can spend many hours at the pool just soaking up the sun and the views.
Tina is a great host and can provide lots of local knowledge if required. Orgiva is at a crossroads and you can venture off in several directions from there with many circular tours available. A car is essential to enjoy the many villages that can be visited.
Facilities are as described and it is a joy to sit out on the patio and enjoy a meal. If you are staying in this area you must visit the Alhambra Palace in Granada and the mountain villages of the High Alpujarras.
Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.
Owner's Response: Ken and Yvonne were delightful guests and I hope they will return next year! Having just the one rental property, and living on site, it enables me to ensure that guests are comfortable and have everything they need. It is quite rewarding when, after having put so much time and effort into making the surroundings a joy for guests, that they are obviously enjoying every moment of their holiday. It is my firm belief that people really appreciate finding the comforts of their own home when they arrive at their holiday destination.
