Cortijo Casa Los Llanos is a spacious, modern, traditional styled, secluded Spanish Cortijo situated in Tijola approximately 2km from Orgiva. The house is equipped to a very good standard throughout and sleeps 9 persons. It is situated within a fully enclosed garden with various fruit trees. The Cortijo is all on one level it offers privacy with a private pool and is set in an outstanding location where you can combine secluded country life (spectacular 360 degrees views of the mountains) with the benefits of a short trip (5 min by car or 15 minute walk) into Orgiva. It has its own large swimming pool (10 x 4.5m), 3 double, 1 triple sized bedroom, a fully newequipped kitchen and a lounge with fireplace. The Cortijo has Sky free view satellite television & a computer with Internet/Email access fast broadband. There is a large shaded patio/terrace alongside the house, with BBQ & patio furniture. Both the house and the garden are safe for young children, I have twins aged 10 yrs.

Malaga is less than a two hour drive also Almeria can be considered as a second airport option at two hours also. No-frills airlines are now using this airport, Ryanair are also flying to Granada which is an hour away!.The coast at Motril and the beach at Salobrena are a 35 minute drive and skiing at Sol y Nueve is less that 1 ½ hours in the Sierra Nevada. The cortijo is a 15 mins walk or 5 mins drive to Orgiva main market town of Las Alpujarras. Granada and Alhambra Palaces, Sierra Nevada ski slopes and national park 45 mins drive. Unspoilt fabulous mountain villages Bubion, Capileira and Pampaneira 30 mins. Orgiva is a great centre from which to explore the higher Alpujarras Sierra Nevada country park and Panpaneira, Boubion & Capileira are the three of the prettiest villages located next to each other in the high Las Alpujarras. These three towns serve as an excellent base for participating in activities in the region. Las Alpujarras is perfect for hiking and trekking

  • Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Flexible arrival until End June with preferred Sat to Sat in High season.
    Prices include water, gas and electricity. Also welcome pack, all bed linen and towels included and changed weekly. Use of telephone and firewood will incur additional charges, please ask for costs if needed.
  • A 20% deposit is required on booking with balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Any breakages will be replaced by similar items. Short stays will be considered in low season. A welcome pack with wine, beer, water, orange juice, bread and milk is provided on arrival.

Leisure: Orgiva is a small market town population 5,000 with a selection of good restaurants and tapas bars, a pizzeria and interesting people to watch, read driving over Lemons! There are many pavement tapas cafes which are filled with a variety of interesting mix of tourists and locals. There is a lively weekly market where many people descend on the town from the surrounding villages to buy and sell anything from local vegetables to hippie art. This is one of the few remaining areas of Spain where you can get free tapas with every drink. Within the town there are a few small supermarkets, one with a good selection of British foods, chemists, banks and health food shops cater for most needs. Larger choices of hypermarkets/shops are available in the nearby coastal resort of Motril, 30 minutes. Orgiva also contains a very good language school. In the centre of Orgiva there is a Beautiful Baroque 16th century parish church.Orgiva is a great centre from which to explore the higher Alpujarras.

Transport and Area: Malaga Airport is approximately 2 hours drive away. Granada airport is 1hr 15 mins Ryaniar now fly from Stansted and liverpool direct to Granada. Almeria is 2 hours and no-frills airlines fly here also. Car hire is recommended as one of the things which is very special in the Alpujarras is the topography, geology and scenic beauty of it all. There are not too many places in the world that descend from over 4000 metres to sea level over a distance of just 50 km. From the snows of the highest mountains in Spain (Sierra Nevada) to the Mediterranean Sea. This is what creates the micro-climates and the diversity of vegetation from semi tropical plants on the coast, through olive, almond, orange, grapes to cherry, chestnut, walnut to pines and then just bare 'lunar' rock. And it's very beautiful, cleanest air in Europe (the stars at night are amazing). The nearest coastal town of Salobrena (35 minutes) has a large safe beach and good restaurants. Airport pickups can be arranged.
