Tarragona is the ‘Balcony of Europe’, as the cliff top from which Tarragona is set gives a huge panoramic view of Europe. The town can easily be explored on foot, although it is on a steep hill, from the beach to the Cathedral at the top of the Balcony is a long way up!
From Tarragona’s Costa Dorada beaches, sunbathing, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, water skiing and scuba diving are hugely popular activities, and facilities are available from the main tourist beaches all along the Costa Dorada.

The Serra Del Monstant Mountains however are the jewel in Tarragona’s crown.
