The apartment has a great location, in Valencia city. The living room and kitchen are open plan with a breakfast bar. It also has a patio area with a table and chairs for 2 although it doesn't get sun all day. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with everything you need. The flat has a private entrance on the ground floor (perfect for people with children or those who are unable to manage stairs). The apartment's position at the bottom of the building allows it to be cool throughout the hot, Valencian summer. However, it does have an effective ceiling fan system and also portable fans if necessary. If you are staying in winter, we have gas central heating. There is a double bedroom, a smaller bedroom with a double sofa bed and also an extra sofa bed in the living room. So the apartment can accomodate up to 6 people sharing one bathroom.

The flat is located in a prime area of Valencia. It has plenty of bars and restaurants, 4 supermarkets and a market selling fresh produce all in walking distance. It is vibrant and trendy yet the flat is on a quiet street so you will be guaranteed a good night's sleep. The area has good transport links with several bus stops on the doorstep. The main train station and underground are only 15 mins away on foot. As is the River Park, where you can do innumerable outdoor activities and which contains the City of Science. Valencia itself has something for everyone: blue skies and sunshine; the beach; culture with its many museums, art galleries and monuments; shopping; paella and tapas; world famous festivals such as Las Fallas and La Tomatina and the port area where the America's Cup took place this year is worth a visit.   • This is a rough guide to prices.
    ASK ABOUT SPECIAL OFFERS/DISCOUNTS
    Bookings during festivals (Las Fallas, Easter,etc.), public holidays and international sporting events (America's Cup, Moto GP) will have a minimum stay of 5 days and a variation to price.
    The rate for Las Fallas is 900 Euro/full week. (discount for an extended stay is possible).
    Other sporting events cost 125 Euro/night or 700/week.
    Until confirmed, rental rates are subject to change without notice.
  • Rental costs:
    We require a holding deposit of 30% of the total costs or 150 euros minimum.
    We require the remaining balance 2 weeks before your arrival so if you prefer you can just pay it all up front at booking.

    Security Deposit:
    Guests who reside in the UK - 140 GBP to be paid to our UK account and returned to your UK account on departure (this will avoid any extra cost)
    Guests who reside in Spain - 200 Euros to be paid to our Spanish account and returned to your Spanish account on departure (with a 2 euro fee)
    Guests from other countries - 200 Euros to be paid by paypal (which will be returned minus 10E fee). If paypal is not possible, it will be returned minus the bank transfer fee (roughly 10-20 euros)

    There is an admin/booking fee of 4%, added to the total cost at the time of booking: Paypal (Apartment Valencia). We'd also accept a bank transfer direct to our bank account in Spain.
    There is no cleaning fee and so guests are responsible for leaving the apartment.
  • (1) Arrival and departure times are reasonably flexible as long as it is not a changeover day where departure must be before 12 pm (we try to avoid these as much as possible).

We stayed in the apartment in January 2008 and found it absolutely brilliant. It was superbly appointed with everything you need for a holiday - we'd have loved to live there!

The apartment is in an excellent location, handy for the city centre and other attractions yet in a quiet area so a good night's sleep was ensured.

The owners and their local contact could not be more helpful - we'd recommend it to anyone and look forward to future visits

I stayed in this apartment with a couple of friends for a long weekend and it was perfect for us. With the price split between us it worked out much cheaper than even the cheapest hotel and not much more than a hostel, plus you've got the option to stay in and cook so it's great for a budget break. The location's perfect to see the best of Valencia with the old centre and science park both within walking distance, and the beach just a short busride away. The property was well-maintained and well laid-out and there was also lots of info provided about what to see and do in Valencia and how to get around. Bill, who met us with the keys, was also very friendly and helpful as were the owners in our email correspondence, especially considering it was a very last-minute booking on our part. Overall, a great stay!

We had a great time in Valencia- what a brilliant city. The flat was perfectly located on a quiet street yet near enough to everything. I liked the way it was handy for both the Art & Science Museum, and the old town areas.

The owners are very flexible and really care. They answered my specific queries, and seemed to take time to help. Their personalized guidebook was certainly useful. It's definitely a bargain for what we paid, it's self catering so we took care of it and they were quick to pay our deposit back. We'll be back next year!

Three friends and I stayed at apartment over a long weekend. Overall our experience was a good one. The apartment has a good location, and once you have your map, it is quite easy to find your way around. And for those without a map or travel guide, the "tour guide" book, which accompanies the apartment is extremely helpful.

I would recommend the apartment to those who are looking to decrease your costs. While the apartment is not the Ritz, it offers you a quite stay, at the same price as a hostel. I would say it is a perfect place to stay for students wishing to experience Valencia as a Valencian...the neighborhood is filled with nice people, especially Tony who so generously showed us around the city one day. If you run into him, tell him Kelly and Johan say hi! :)
Just some caution: The caretaker may give you a rough time if you use too many towel or sheets...
But to end on a positive note: The owners are wonderful, quick to answer e-mails and easy to reach, very nice people. Thanks for a great stay!
