Photos and Description of this Valencia City holiday apartment Self catering flat for a great vacation, sleeps up to 6, ground floor with patio

The apartment has a great location, in Valencia city. The living room and kitchen are open plan with a breakfast bar. It also has a patio area with a table and chairs for 2 although it doesn't get sun all day. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It has a private entrance on the ground floor (perfect for people with children or those who are unable to manage stairs). The flat's ground floor position and brick walls makes it cool throughout the hot, Valencian summer, and it has an effective ceiling fan system and also portable fans as well. We have gas central heating for winter. There is a double bedroom, a smaller bedroom with a double sofa bed and an extra sofa bed in the living room. So the apartment can accomodate up to 6 people sharing one bathroom. We now look after the flat ourselves, so we will be there to personally answer your questions and help in any way we can. The flat is located in a prime area of Valencia. It has plenty of bars and restaurants, 4 supermarkets and a market selling fresh produce all in walking distance. It is vibrant and trendy yet the flat is on a quiet street so you will be guaranteed a good night's sleep. The area has good transport links with several bus stops on the doorstep. The main train station and underground are only 15 mins away on foot. As is the River Park, where you can do innumerable outdoor activities and which contains the City of Science. Valencia itself has something for everyone: blue skies and sunshine; the beach; culture with its many museums, art galleries and monuments; shopping; paella and tapas; world famous festivals such as Las Fallas and La Tomatina and the port area where the America's Cup took place this year is worth a visit. We will be happy to fill you in on anything you want to know to make your holiday perfect and we have also supplied a visitors' guide, maps, etc. to get you started

  • This is a rough guide to prices.
    ASK ABOUT SPECIAL OFFERS/DISCOUNTS
    Bookings during festivals (Las Fallas, Easter,etc.), public holidays and international sporting events (America's Cup, Moto GP) will have a minimum stay of 5 days and a variation to price.
    The rate for Las Fallas is 750 Euro/full week. (discount for an extended stay is possible).
    Other sporting events cost 100 Euro/night or 500/week.
    Until confirmed, rental rates are subject to change without notice.
  • Rental costs:
    We require a holding deposit of 30% of the total costs or 150 euros minimum.
    The remaining balance is payable a week beforehand or in cash on arrival.

    Security Deposit:
    200-250 euros paid via PayPal. It will be returned on your departure, providing the apartment is left as found. If PayPal is not possible ask about a bank transfer. There may be additional costs for this, dependng on your location.

    There is an admin/booking fee of 4%, added to the total cost at the time of booking: Paypal (Apartment Valencia). We'd also accept a bank transfer direct to our bank account in Spain.
    There is no cleaning fee and so guests are responsible for leaving the apartment as found.
  • (1) Arrival and departure times are reasonably flexible as long as it is not a changeover day where departure must be before 12 pm (we try to avoid these as much as possible).
    Please inform of your arrival/departure times as soon as you can so that arrangements can be made.

Bedding - all beds will be made up if requested (except for the sofa bed in the living room as you may want to use the sofa) with towels laid out. There will be spare sheets and towels left for you in the wardrobe. We ask that if you use the extra linen, you wash as you go to help with the changeover. Travel cot available on request.

The patio area has very high walls and so it receives direct sunlight only at certain times of the day. Tour of the city offered at a great rate. Ask about babysitting. If there's something you need that we don't have, ask. It may not be possible, but we'll try.

Arrival and Departure / Valencia Events 2009: (1) Arrival & departure times are flexible as long as it is not a changeover day where departure must be before 12 pm. (2) At the end of the rental period please leave the property as it was found. It will be cleaned before check in & after check out but this does not include dishes, rubbish clearing, etc. Any additional cleaning costs or damages incurred will come out of the deposit. (3) Linen: Please leave dirty linen in the bath at the end of your stay. Feel free to change sheets as often as you like but please use the washing machine. We stayed in the apartment in January 2008 and found it absolutely brilliant. It was superbly appointed with everything you need for a holiday - we'd have loved to live there!

The apartment is in an excellent location, handy for the city centre and other attractions yet in a quiet area so a good night's sleep was ensured.

The owners and their local contact could not be more helpful - we'd recommend it to anyone and look forward to future visits

We stayed in the apartment in October 2009 for 6 nights. Had wonderful time in Valencia, partly due to the apartment too. It was very handy for everything we did - city centre, amazing Science park, great Turia river park, beach.
The apartment was just as described and had everything we needed. Having two small children and a pushchair it was great that it was on the ground floor as we could get straight in from the street. We stayed in in the evenings and had all we needed in the kitchen to cook a meal. The whole apartment was clean and well looked after.
Marie and Chris were extremely helpful, both on emails beforehand and whilst there. Was great they provided a travel cot for our baby too.
Valencia is a great city. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Do walk along the park in the former river bed and visit the architecturally amazing Science Park. And of course, enjoy the street life, cafes, bakeries, markets and the full of life people.
We're already planning our next visit and would love to stay in the same place again.

A convenient location in Valencia

The property is about 15 minutes walk from the city centre. There is a regular bus service (Route 7) from the square next to the flat as an alternative.

The flat had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Valencia. The absence of a TV was in my mind a plus feature as we were trying to chill out. We made most of our evening meals in the flat using produce we bought in the local supermarkets. If you don't want to cook there are many restaurants within easy walking distance.

We would certainly stay here again when we come out to visit our son who has recently moved to Valencia and would recommend it to our friends.

A great base to explore Valencia!

We arrived at the apartment to a very warm welcome, with lots of support, maps and friendly advice about where to go in Valencia, which was very useful.
The apartment was as described, clean and well appointed.
We enjoyed a number of good restaurants but would highly recommend La Pitanza, Quart 5 in the El Carmen district which served spectacular food and the service was outstanding.
Overall a really nice apartment and a really enjoyable week in Valencia!

We had a lovely week in the apartment! The apartment was clean and everything was in excellent condition. The living area is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed!
The location of the apartment is great as well as it's only a short walk from the city centre but in a quieter area. It also has easy access to the beach which is only a short bus ride away!
In the city centre there's plenty to see and do; museums, monuments etc. we mostly just walked round the city but hired bikes for a couple of hours which was a fun way to see the sights! Other attractions such as the bio-parc and aquarium are again, a short bus ride away from the apartment but the bus stop is very close and both are well worth the trip!
We had a couple of evening meals in the city centre and by the beach. There's a wide variety of choice in both locations so something for everyone! There is also a well-stocked supermarket very close to the apartment which was great for the nights we stayed in!
Chris and Marie left plenty of useful information in the apartment about the area and were very welcoming when they met us at the apartment upon our arrival (even though it was late in the evening!) They also answered any questions we had before the stay/booking.
All in all we had a great holiday and would highly recommend the apartment! We hope to return soon!
