In a gated complex with gardens and pools the AlcalaBlau Penthouse is situated 150 metres from the sea. The spacious balcony is south facing with fine views over the gardens and pool to the ocean beyond. There is a rooftop solarium/terrace for day-long sunshine and complete privacy. The sandy cove del Moro beach is just through the gardens, the excellent Romana beach is beyond. Allocated parking is at the rear of the complex. The apartment offers one ensuite kingsize and one twin bedded room. There is a large living/dining room with TV, DVD, and CD player. A separate fitted kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven , microwave, fridge-freezer,electric kettle, juicer, toaster and iron. A separate utility room contains a washing machine, sink, clothes dryer and ironing board. There is air-conditioning ( hot and cold ). The apartment is comfortably furnished and well-equipped for this is our home in Spain, not just another rental apartment. It is ideal for year-round occupancy

Alcossebre is an attractive small Spanish Mediterranean coastal town situated among olive, almond, orange and lemon groves typical of the unspoilt picturesque region of the Costa del Azahar or Orange Blossom Coast about an hour's drive from Valencia or Reus. Building is limited to three storey high. There are five 'Blue Flag' safe sandy beaches. There is a Water World Park at Benicassim and the Universal Studios Theme Park at Port Aventura about an hour's drive to the north. There are two fine golf courses within 40 minutes drive - Panoramica near Vinaros and Mediterraneo near Castellon. Castellon is good for shopping. The location is a good base to explore old coastal towns such as Peniscola and medieval mountain villages such as Morella. The centre of Alcossebre with its large range of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets is a 20 minutes walk away. The area is popular with Spanish people for their holidays and consequently still retains its genuine Spanish culture.

Average daytime temperatures range from 15 degrees in January and December through 25 in April, May, September and October to 30+ in June, July and August. Off season the town is quiet and the beaches empty. During the season there are boat trips from the marina to Columbretes, a small volcanic archipelago. There are also numerous festivals throughout the year. Flight information: from the UK Easy Jet flies from Stansted and Gatwick to Valencia and Barcelona (two-hour flight) and Ryanair flies from Stansted to Reus (Tarragona) also a two-hour flight. Drive time to the apartment is about one hour from Valencia and Reus and about two hours from Barcelona.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in this lovely apartment, which is well fitted out and furnished. The location looking over the gardens, pool and sea is perfect (Aug 07). Everything was definitely to our complete satisfaction - all very clean and tidy ( Sept 07 ). We loved the apartment and the situation overlooking the sea was absolutely great (Oct 07). The apartment was well prepared for us, nice clean beds and bathrooms - thank you (Nov 07). Nice apartment, well-equipped (May 08). Nice quiet beach just outside apatment complex. Proximity of restaurants and supermarkets very convenient (July 08). Avery nice apartment in a fabulous location. All the amenities are of very high standard and exceed expectations (Aug 08). Both apartment and location are excellent. The apartment has everything you require, even a good library of English books, for a relaxing self-catering holiday although there are good restaurants closeby if you choose to dine out.The airconditioning worked perfectly and was definitely required.
The swimming pools in the complex are as good as I´ve seen anywhere and they suit all ages, the beach across the road from the complex is very nice and also relatively quiet compared to the beaches closer to town. There are also rockpools nearby for younger children to enjoy.
We were looking forward to two weeks where we could enjoy stress free, sunny days in a lovely setting. This apartment and location did not disappoint and we would not hesitate to return.
