Nestled between the orange groves in the heart of the Costa del Azahar Oliva is in a perfect location for a Spanish holiday. The town has many bars and restaurants offering both traditional Spanish dishes aswell as Chinese, Thai and Italian, shops and a great local Friday market. A short drive away are the towns of Denia and Gandia with excellent markets and a large shopping centre/multiplex cinema in Gandia. Much of the Old Town of Oliva dates back as far as the 16th century and exploring the many streets and squares gives you the opportunity to discover the rich Moorish and Roman history of the town . The surrounding area of the Costa del Azahar is rich with fauna and wildlife and with the protected Oliva-Pego Marshes National Park and miles of untouched dunes it's great for birdwatchers and walkers alike.
Valencia is only an hours drive and a great day out with it's excellent shops, restaurants and stylish architecture.
