Casa Ribalta, a very comfortable Spanish house and secluded pool for your sole use in a quiet village set amongst citrus groves, 10min drive from the long wide sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, the lively town of Gandia and the smaller town of Oliva. Ideal for young families and couples. The bars/cafes of La Font are 3 minutes stroll. The property offers a spacious sun terrace & patio with BBQ. The well-equipped large kitchen/breakfast room provides dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, cafetiere, full gas oven & hob. The large comfortable lounge is airy with exposed beams and Satellite TV. For those very warm evenings during the peak of summer, air conditioning on first floor ensures a more comfortable nights sleep. Each bedroom, the kitchen and lounge has a fan. Sun loungers, patio furniture & linen provided (excluding beach towels). Children very welcome. For the cooler Winter evenings a large traditional log fire is available in the lounge with heating upstairs.

The house is 4 kilometres from Oliva and a little further from Gandia in the village of La Font, tucked away in a very quiet road yet conveniently only 3 minutes walk from shops, authentic Spanish restaurants, bars, a pizzeria, pharmacist, banks & the village square. In addition to the private pool at the house for your use only, there is also a very large lovely outdoor public swimming pool in the village. The village is surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, 10 minutes drive to wonderful beaches, 1 hour from Alicante or Valencia Airport. The nearest large towns are Gandia (10 minutes drive) where you can board a train on a 40 minute journey to Valencia and Oliva (5 minutes drive). There are large markets every week in Oliva and Gandia.

Notes: Casa Ribalta offers one double room, one twin room, one bunk room. All linen is good quality cool poly-cotton. There are two bathrooms (one ensuite to master bedroom with bath) and one with a shower, both have WC. With regard to access for older or infirm visitors, there is one step up into the house from the front door, accommodation and sun terrace are accessible via two stairways and the pool area is accessed by four steps. Please do enquire with us if you need any further details. Winter lets: We have provided facilities to ensure visitors are warm and comfortable during the cooler months. There are plenty of blankets and a large wood burning fire in the living room. In addition there is also a large heater upstairs. The pool is out of commission from the end of October to early April. Please contact us for any additional information. There are two adult size mountain bikes kept at the house for your use. The SKY satellite TV receives English speaking programmes (free)

The house, village, beaches and transport: Casa Ribalta is furnished and equipped to a high standard and maintained to a high level in excellent condition. An attendant takes care of the pool. The house is located along a quiet residential road within a Spanish village which has several bars, restaurants including a pizzeria, shops and banks. There is also a public outdoor swimming pool in the village. The beautiful beaches of Gandia along to Oliva are a ten minute drive through the orange groves which nestle between the mountains. Water sports are available at the larger beach resorts. More details on the local area are available in the information folder at the house. Use of a car is recommended although there are frequent bus services to Gandia. Gandia has a wonderful shopping area around the Borges district with its stylish boutiques and restaurants. From Gandia railway station where the La Font bus stops, the train travels to the beautiful city of Valencia.

There is a log burning cast iron fire in the living room which provides heating for the cooler winter months, and a large heater upstairs on the first floor.

Really charming village house, private and astonishingly quiet given its location - you forget that you're in the middle of the village until you need to pop out to the shops or a bar - great to be able to do so without needing a car. Our son (and we) loved the easy access to the pool - and we appreciated the ease of access by train to Valencia. The owner's information is honest and clear but the photos don't do it justice. The air conditioning was hugely welcome. The depth of the pool at the shallower end made it perfect for a child.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
