A modern luxurious air conditioned townhouse situated on a small secure residential complex with a large communal swimming pool located near the beach between Denia and Oliva. The pool is accessed by a level pedestrian path so there are no roads to cross. There is a private grassed garden area to the front of the house with sun loungers, bbq, dining table and chairs. A beautiful quiet sandy beach bordered by sand dunes is a 5 minute level walk away, beach bar and children's play area close by. The TV receives English channels, DVD player and DVDs, stereo and CDs supplied. The complex is accessed by locked gates and the house doors have lockable shutters. Reserved car parking outside. All accomodation & terraces on one level with no steps. Bank with cashpoint machine, bar, restaurant and supermarket within walking distance. Tennis, golf driving range and horse riding all within 10 minutes walk. The towns of Denia and Oliva are 10 minutes drive away.

Located close to the Spanish towns of Denia, Javea, Oliva and Pego in the Northern Costa Blanca. The city of Valencia is easily accessible by car or train and well worth a day trip to the new arts and sciences park, live music and theatre, excellent shopping and superb restaurants. A Lladro factory tour in English is available. 4 golf courses within 30 minutes drive. Peaceful walks in the orange groves start from the villa. The nearby beaches have some excellent watersports activity centres - you can learn to kitesurf, windsurf, sail or dive. Further details on request or I can book for you. Church services available locally in Spanish and English. Nearest airports Alicante or Valencia. Car hire companies can be recommended.

Notes: Families with babies and small children are welcome and well catered for. The pool has a dedicated children's section and there are no steps to climb. Pool and beach toys supplied. The front garden gate can be locked to keep the more adventurous from walking or crawling away. All windows are double glazed with safety glass and there no sharp corners on any furniture. Both bedrooms have shutters which can black out the room completely.

Local attractions: Located within a 15-20 minute drive of the Spanish towns of Denia, Pego, Oliva and Javea. Valencia city is well worth a day trip and is 1 hours drive away, or 40 minutes on the train. All local towns & villages have a weekly outdoor market which gives an insight into Spanish life. Other local attractions include miles of beautiful quiet Blue Flag sandy beaches, Vergel Safari Park, Benidorm theme parks, donkey sanctuary, quad biking, an outdoor Go Karting circuit and 4 golf courses. Within 10 minutes are 2 four star hotels with health spas. Denia is the nearest sizeable town and has good boutique style shops, pavement cafes, a promenade stretching for miles dotted with waterfront restaurants and a large marina.

Eating in and out: The local area is mainly Spanish so there is a wide choice of restaurant. Expect to pay 10e per head for a set 3 course lunch with wine, 25e per head for something more formal a la carte. Don't worry if you can't speak Spanish as the menus are quite simple to understand. It is quite acceptable to take babies & small children to restaurants, even at night, in fact you will probably get better service as the Spanish love children. Takeaway food is surprisingly popular in Spain & within 15 minutes drive is an Indian takeaway, really good pizza one, lots of Chinese and a fabulous wood fired barbecued chicken restaurant. Valencia wine is very good & 1e per litre at the local cooperative.

Taxi service: Taxi service to and from the airport can be arranged, please ask for details. Or fly to Valencia & take the tube & train to Gandia (6e per person) & I can collect you at Gandia.

Great holiday

We had a great holiday in this house. The property was completely as described. Very clean, great facilities including dishwasher, barbecue and a really nice bathroom. The house is on a small development and we had the pool to ourselves for most of the week. The beach was quiet and clean and there were some great local towns to visit (Denia and Gandia). Valencia itself is also fantastic. There was a great little restaurant on the beach, but the garden was nice so we barbecued most of the week.

All in all: a great property that we would recommend without hesitation.

We chose this house after a last minute change to our travel plans being the first trip abroad for some years without the security of a travel company. The house was just as advertised and suited up perfectly. We had a car, which is a must, and we did plenty of exploring over the 8 days we were there. Neil was very helpful and met us locally to answer any questions we may have had. There are lovely local towns of Oliva and Denia which provided everthing you could want, ie supermarkets and places to eat both in and take away. The house was spotlessly clean and lots of local information was provided together with a phrase book !!!. We hope to return another year.
