Sant Mateu is a typical Spanish town in Costa Del Azahar or Orange Blossom Coast the historical capital of the Maestrat region. Surrounded by mountain views. In the Plaza Mayor you will find restaurants and bars along with an excellent Tourist Information Office that is open 6 days a week. Sant Mateu has its own Historical and Natural heritage. The Cathedral, Convents and Museums alone show the history of the town. A 15 minute drive away is the Panoramica Championship Golf Complex.

Notes to the rental rates

• The price quoted is for 4 people including children, more than 4 people please add £30 per person for the booking. 20% Deposit is payable at the time of booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. A refundable deposit of £150 will also be required to compensate if there are any breakages or loss of keys.

Places of Interest

While taking in local interests why not visit Traiguera, a ten minute drive from Casa Olivio and watch the potter make pots and other items that are for sale in an extensive family owned shop. From Peniscola you can enjoy boat rides to various destinations: The Columbrete Islands, Benicarlo and Vinaros. Last but not least is the visit to the Stairs of Papa Luna (Bufador) the caves, this is the cheapest at 7 euros for 30 minutes. There is also a short route to Vinaros and the price includes a glass of sangria. Something for the children or even the whole family is Karting in Vinaros: A 5 minute drive from Lidl or Aldi , if you are in Peniscola Karting is also available there. A bit further away is the Aquarama Water Palace, leave early and spend the whole day. All neighbouring towns and villages have something to offer, so why not take the time visit them.
